(Mileena wakes up in the forest next to the burned out fire. The pitch black night makes it so the orange glow of Mileena's eyes are the only source of light)
Mileena: Hell spawn?
Scorpion(from the darkness): you're awake. Ohayo.
(Following his voice, Mileena turns her head to see Scorpion's glowing white eyes. Scorpion lifts his hand, producing a fire in his palm illuminating the area)
Mileena: Why are you awake?
Scorpion(ignoring the question): I brought food.
(He tosses the fire from his palm onto the dry sticks. The bonfire reignites quickly. He drags the body of a medium sized animal to the fire and puts it on the spit. Mileena rubs her eyes tiredly and sits on the log next to the fire. She puts her hair in front of her face)
Scorpion: Why do you cover your face..
Mileena(looking away): Why shouldn't I?
Scorpion: Your teeth arent a flaw.
(She glances towards him but everts her eyes quickly)
Scorpion: Beauty is subjective, Mileena.
(Mileena gives no response)
Scorpion: You're certainly better than many other things I've seen.
Mileena(quietly): Thank you, hellspawn...
(They both sit in silence until Mileena speaks)
Mileena: Why didn't you kill me?
Scorpion: Why desire it?
(Mileena opens her mouth to speak but found it difficult to find words)
Mileena: I- I saw you kill Subzero. Why him and not me?
(Scorpion gives a depressed sigh before speaking)
Scorpion: He deserved death. Even so, I shouldn't have killed him.
