If I feel like dying for love, I'll tell it to the heavens
I would have felt the rain caving in, finishing its sentence
Love, I would have stood there and told you all I could
Down the race for happiness, put you first, I would
But with words said come forgetfulness of the past
How fate dictates for us to laugh and escape while it lasts
If there's a chance for us to meet on roads deserted
I would have thrown sense and morality back into the dead
Love, I would have given up my all to make you my world
What went wrong? Can we trace it—word by word?
Because love is a feeling nobody can fully suffice
Darling—there're no happy endings in bittersweet goodbyes

And that's how we met and landed in this place
Dark nights rise and there's no grace to save us
Love, does it matter who has found who
Or are we, like all memory, about to vanish into the blue
With hards torn and hears too pierced to beat
Tell me—am I the one to blame for heaven's deceit?
Would I have fought to the end, even in sordid retreat?
So why am I here? Why am I sitting on hell's heated seat?
It would have been nice if I get to keep just the good
If all my memories of you are of kissed skies,  warm hoods
But life is rarely a good moment to stare at the skies
I shouldn't have braced for happy endings in bittersweet goodbyes

Even if it seems like all my words end up desolate
I'd rather scream into the void than drown in hate
Of the world's schemes and the need for joy submerged
Do you need to die to yourself just to be remembered?
Was freedom really the price to pay for love
Like how everyone expects me to bend to the rules they had?
So far, I've been the only one doing so
Pieces and chips—bones and parts of myself go
But how will I get back the time lost and blood paid
I would have died for real because of the fateful raid
Love, who knew what we have is all but a sacrifice
Asking if there're no happy endings in bittersweet goodbyes

Because with the farewell comes a past lingering
Like darkness in the void—it's painful and everlasting
People will try to get back what they fail to recover
—things they didn't have, they'll covet from another
A lucky soul is one who didn't need to get hurt
Someone who hadn't watched grief in its rebirth
I guess I'm not one of those—never have been
That's why we met—just a slideshow to be seen
Love, I really would have taken you in—flaws and all
But went out and stopped me from standing tall
If there is one thing I learned in this field of lies
Is that there're no happy endings in bittersweet goodbyes

Because with the farewell comes a past lingeringLike darkness in the void—it's painful and everlastingPeople will try to get back what they fail to recover—things they didn't have, they'll covet from anotherA lucky soul is one who didn't need to g...
