After a long while of silence Adrian's mother came down the stairs. Her long yellow dress blinding my eyes.

Adrian stood up from his chair "What took you so long, mom?" he asked

"Sorry, I just had a long business call" She says

Adrian nods and sits back down. Adrian's mom eyes falls on me. Her face scrunches up in disgust. I just shrugged on my chair her gaze making me uncomfortable.

"You? Please don't tell me your the wedding planner" she says looking at me and back at Adrian

"I am, unfortunately" I mumble

She sighs "This must be some joke"

"Mom, please sit down and can we get this meeting over with" Adrian says

His mom hesitantly sits down in the chair her eyes not leaving me.

I didn't like her gaze on me but I mentally reminded myself that this will only be a few minutes.

"So shall we begin with the basics" Kelly says breaking the awkward tension.

I kinda pity her. This must be awful for her to bare. I mean for me it would be.

I nod and take out the file passing it around the table. Everyone opened it and scanned through the pages of the design and ideas we came up with.

"I like it"

"I hate it"

Adrian and Jennifer says the same time. Obviously Jennifer hated it.

They glanced at each other.

"What do you mean you hate it?" Adrian asks

"Its too cliché" Jennifer says scrunching her face

"I totally disagree. I like it. It's perfect" Adrian says

They both glared daggers at each other.

"I agree with Jennifer, Adrian. It's too cliché" Adrian's mom says

"Of course you do mom. You always agree with whatever she says. Listen I like it and I don't want any changes and thats final" Adrian says getting up from his chair and walking away.

Wow.

"uh, well we're off. Please call us if there's anything you want to change" I say packing up our things

Kelly and I make our way out the huge house. I sighed in relief once we're outside, couldn't be more happy to be out that house.

I run a hand over my hair pushing it away from my face.

"That was hectic" Kelly says

I walk over to her car that we came with.

I climb inside the passenger sit and she got on the driver's side.

"yeah I'm just glad I'm going home" I mumble laying my head back on the sit.

Kelly starts the engine and drives away.

***

Right now I'm at home my legs on the table watching TV. After the dinner Kelly dropped me off and went home.

I just turned on the TV and took a handful of snacks sitting down to watch some Netflix movies.

I munched on my energy bar, wrapped around my blanket.

The door bell rang. I turned my head towards the door.

I'm definitely not waking to open that door. I'm too lazy.

"Sarah open the door" A familiar voice says banging on the door.

"Just go in, by the window" I shout back

"I'm not doing that"

I sighed. Then stay outside, you idiot.

The banging in my door kept going for a long while.

Giving up, I stood up and yanked the door open.

Nick stood there his hair a mess.

He had on a long sleeved shirt and black jeans.

"What took you so long to open the door?" he ask

I ignored his question and wrapped my arms around him.

"I missed you so much" I whispered in his hear

He chuckles "Well I didn't miss you at all", he says pulling away from the hug.

I punch his arm "Still as cocky as ever"

He laughs walking inside the apartment and closing the door.

He looks around the place "Not bad. I actually like it"

"Thank you. Anyway what brings you here?" I ask sitting on the arm rest of the sofa

"Well I missed my sister and I decided to visit for a few weeks"

"what about school?" I ask

"Uh, I got suspended"

I rolled my eyes "why aren't I surprised"

I picks up his bag "It wasn't my fault that some kids girlfriend found me attractive and decided to make out with me in the toilets and the guy found out and picked a fight with me. I was just defending myself"

I smacked the back of his head while he groaned laughing.

I helped him carry his bag upstairs in the extra bedroom.

Nick is my younger brother. His still in school and had to move to different schools every year because he always gets kicked out.

His a player, a rebel and a trouble maker.

His alot to handle. He always gets in trouble and me having to fix his mess.

This all started when our parents died I just thought it would last a period time, I thought maybe this was his way to grief for they death but he never changed.

I pull open the spare bedroom and reveal the white walls.

He steps inside and puts his bag on the bed.

"I like it. It's very spacious" He says jumping on the bed

"Don't do that you idiot" I scold pulling him to sit down

He plops down on the bed.

"Go take a shower Nick and I'll order some pizza for us"

He nods "Alright, but your paying for mine and yours"

I roll my eyes and walk out his room. Once I'm downstairs in the kitchen I groan.

This is a going to be a few long weeks with Nick here.
