Chapter 7 : The Surprise

It was getting dark, after the fight that ensued between the two carnivores the group tried to find a suitable place for setting up camp but had no luck. Every place that they tried to set up on was either too small or had a natural hazard like a tree that fell over or a pond with potentially dangerous animals in it, "Should we climb a tree again with the shirt technique?" asked Emilie with a tired expression, "I experienced myself how bad of an idea that is" responded Jonathan while looking for more food, "Do you think we should look in the trees for food ?" asked Jonathan while looking at the treetops. " I don't think it'll merit itself" answered Victor as he also started looking for food, the group looked around for food or shelter but couldn't find anything. As Emilie walked away from the group she could hear some kind of bellowing, "Guys do you hear that ?!" asked Emilie while trying to not make as much noise as possible but she didn't get any response, "Guys?!" she said with fear in her voice, she turned around and saw no one behind her, "guys?" she asked waiting for a response,

 "This isn't funny guys, come on out!" she shouted but nobody answered. It was her first time being truly alone on the island, she quickly marched onward towards the groups destination. The jungle was a big hurdle for Emilie since she didn't have the help of the others, she eventually made it to a big pond where she tried to remember what Victor had taught her and Jonathan, she started digging a hole next to the pond like Victor and Jonathan did, as the water filled up in the hole she made the water started moving, Emilie didn't think much of it since she just dug a hole near the pond and that obviously caused tremors. The Hole finally filled up and Emilie started drinking out of it and didn't notice that her fingers blood dripped into the hole, as she drunk the water a bit of blood entered her mouth, she drank and drank and drank.

 After she got hydrated Emilie looked at the hole she just drunk from, noticing a big red spot . She started to puke, Emilie just drank her own blood and didn't even react until she realized it. As Emilie started to puke something slowly came out of the water, she slowly turned around after whipping of the puke away from her mouth and saw some kind of big lizard. "Jesus Christ!" she screamed as the Lizard's jaws wrapped around her head, this is the day she would die. As she embraced the cold and wet jaws of death around her head she heard a familiar voice say : "Fuckin' hell!", the jaws loosened and she retracted her head away from there. Jonathan was standing behind Victor and helping Emilie stand up while victor was slowly backing away from the Lizard. Victor was ready to brawl it out with the lizard but as the lizard got into attack-position it suddenly looked up to the sky and went back into the pond. The group became confused as to the actions of the Lizard but they suddenly heard a maniacal laughter
