Hotch's POV: It hurts having to look at them and holding this note doesn't make it any better. "It's okay. I can take the lead if you need." Spencer whispers in my ear and I nod. He takes the note and takes a deep breath. "This note holds some personal information for Hotch and right now all ridicule needs to left until after." He says and everyone nods. This note was left by someone in Hotch's family and there has been a threat towards him and two others." He continues and I take the note from him. I toss it onto the table and let them read the note. JJ goes to stay something and I stop her. "My mother." Dave looks at me and looks that the board. "The first victim was my father." "Who's your husband?" Morgan asks and I take in a shaky breath. I grab Spencers hand and hold it in my own. "I need your help to put her away for life. There is plenty of information that you don't know about and I plan to keep it that way unless I must say something else." Everyone seems to nod and looks back at the profile. "Hotch was there a spot around here that your mom wanted to visit or liked to visit?" JJ asks and I think about it for a moment. "There was a house that my dad bought so that whenever he or I needed some time alone we could go there. He took us all there once when we took a family vacation here. It was the only reason she would be here. She alway hated hotels and would never let us stay in one unless she knew it was the only option." Spencer looks at me and then pulls out his map and glances over it before looking at me. "You mean the one that your dad took us to after the three of us graduated?" He asks and I nod. "Wait I thought you said that he said it would go to you after he died." Penelope asks and I nod again. "I do own it but that doesn't mean that she doesn't have a key I didn't know about." "Where's the house?" Morgan asks and I look at him. "We'll go there tomorrow."

The next day at 3:30 PM

"Let's go." We leave and go to the house, and when we get there I don't see any signs of people being around so we drive past and I park down the block. I get out of the car and run to the house. "Hotch! Hotch!" Morgan yells after me and I continue to run. I get to the house and unlock the door just as Emily gets close. I run in and look around the house. I check the next level and don't find her there or on the main floor. The rest of the team gets in and stops to look around at everything while I sneak into the basement and lock the door so that they don't come down. "I know you're here Betty!" She walks out and leans agains the wall. "That's no way to talk to your mother." She says. "You stopped being my mother the second you first laid a hand on me when I was younger." She rolls her eyes at me and I tighten the grip on my gun. "Oh if you want to pull your gun out in shoot me you would loose the courage to do so before you even got it all the way out of your holster." She taunts. "You killed my father in front of me!" "He was weak!" She yells back. Sometimes I'm glad that the basement is almost completely sound proof. I pull my gun out and she pulls one as well. the go off at the same time and I hit her in the heart the bullet from her gun hits me in my abdomen. "FUCK!" I try to get back up the steps and barely make it there to unlock the door and open it and fall to the floor before I start to black out. "AARON! SOMEONE CALL AN AMBULANCE!" I don't recognize the voice and everything goes black.

Reid's POV: I see Aaron fall to the floor and he's bleeding from his abdomen. An ambulance is taking too long to get here and he doesn't have that kind of time. I hold my sweater vest to the wound as tears fall from my eyes. I love him too much to let him die right now and it takes forever for an ambulance to show up. Dave comes over and pulls me away from him as paramedics come to take him to the hospital. I turn and cry into Dave's shoulder as they take Aaron away from me. "Oh god if only I had gone into the basement and checked." "Kid you can't blame yourself. Only he knew where she might be." He says and I continue to sob into his shoulder. We get to the hospital soon after the scene was processed but there isn't anything on his condition. I sit down on the floor and try to block out everything that happened, but with my memory it just won't happen.
