70 Nautical miles away from Mariposa Naval Base

Vice-Admiral Sharkun noted how low the morale already was. Losing two wyvern carriers, it was a disasterous blow to his fleet. Likewise, it is highly likely that the enemy fleet is far more advanced than his is. Sure, the wyverns were not at optimum combat condition due to the cramped conditions onboard their carriers(carracks make for terrible carriers), however, with how the enemy aircraft performed, their wyverns would've beem slaughtered regardless of their condition.

Now, there's a problem with surrendering to the enemy fleet. If he were to surrender, his large fleet might force his enemy to destroy his fleet out of fear. Likewise, if some paranoid gunner were to fire, even on mistake, they would be eating sand for dinner.

He made his decision: his flagship, the Acheron, will sail towards the enemy fleet alone, hoping that the enemy would see that it's impossible that the flagship is sailing ahead alone to engage the enemy and see it as a sign of negotiation.

All he could do is hope.

Rear Admiral Alan Fletcher was very perplexed. He wasn't expecting one ship from the enemy fleet to detach from the fleet and sail here alone. Taking into account that Louria is technologically behind, it could be a fireship, or that's someone coming to surrender.

"Let the lone ship enter visual range, then warn them to stop. If they come closer, sink it," the order was given.

When Vice-Admiral Sharkun saw the American ships, he almost fainted. The ships were gigantic, from a distance, they almost look like mountains. They had no sails, but he had heard that the superpower nations have ships that could sail without sails, so that wasn't 100% impossible.

He prays that the ships would recognize that the Americans would not destroy his lone ship. Even the size of the smaller ships could would dwarf the size of his state-of-the-art Galleon.

When approaching, he heard something spoken out in the common tongue.

"This is Rear-Admiral Fletcher of the Eigth Carrier Strike Group. Stop your ship or you will be fired upon!"

Vice-Admiral Sharkun ordered the anchor to be dropped and the sails to be furled, he also ordered the signal flag for parley to be brought out. The flags were almost never used on a Lourian ship before. However, now's not a time to think about history and pride.

"What is that flag supposed to mean?" asked Rear-Admiral Fletcher.

"It's a signal flag for Parlay," the Qua-Toynian observer onboard explained. "Could be an ambush, that or they wish to surrender,"

"We will approach them. But if they even start acting suspicious, blow them out of the water."

Vice-Admiral Sharkun stood on the deck of the largest ship. The flat bed of the ship. It was flat, with more flying swords onboard. He was relieved that he didn't continue fighting the Americans, otherwise a fleet of these flying swords would utterly annihilate his fleet.

He was brought to a brig. Makes sense, he was a part of a large fleet sent to blockade the American base.

What he was surprised about is the man that came to see him. It was the American Rear-Admiral himself. He had no intent to fight anyway, but he was surprised that the Rear-Admiral, although flanked by two armed guards, would come to see him himself. An elf, presumably from Qua-Toynia, was brought along, presumably to translate.
