Hello, reader! Thank you for taking the time to check out my novel. I got the idea for this story when I was deep in 90s nostalgia and thought, "How fun would it be to write a story where each chapter is tied to a favorite 90s track?" I made a playlist and let the music be my muse.

I'm no music guru or historian, just a girl who grew up in the 90s with a fondness for the old days with dial-up internet, no smart phones and pay phones on every corner. I wanted to create a timeless story about first love and overcoming low self esteem with authentic and relatable characters---while introducing young readers to 90s culture and music. Drawing on my past pains of bullying and being the new girl, I created the main character Rose. I hope you'll root for her!

I appreciate your kind and constructive feedback.

Also, I am currently in the process of making edits including changing the story from past tense to present tense, so bear with me. Thank you!

Enjoy!
Marie

***DEDICATION***

I dedicate this book to all the people who were told they weren't good enough. To all those who were bullied and cast aside. To the kids who hated themselves for their perceived imperfections. Who were afraid to embrace their gifts and live authentically. You are not alone. I see you. I hear you. I know your pain. It's not your fault. You are beautiful, just as you are, and you deserve all the best in life. Start believing it, because you're worth it. 💗
