Recap

"Not for falling in love with you but for not making you mine when I had the chance.."

"Goodbye Jai.." she whispered.

"Skye wait!" I stuttered.

"I love you," I choked.

"I love you too.."

Jai's POV

I woke up the next morning hoping it was all a nightmare, that it wasn't real but it was...

I walked down the park feeling dizzy, not giving a care in the world what would happen to me.

I did lose Skylar. My heart ached. So, this is what heartbreak feels like but we were never officially 'Jylar', though we could have been if I wasn't so blind with who I really loved.

It hurt more to think that Skylar went through this pain but worse; she had been watching me, happy with someone who wasn't her. If I saw Skylar with another guy I don't know what I would do, to him and to myself.

I felt like someone just ripped out my heart and threw it into a bottomless well..

Before I knew it I was surrounded by clothing stores and many people.

"Ew! Jai? Is that you?!" a voice of a girl in front of me gasped.

I looked up to see her beautiful face once more, "Skylar?!" I hugged her immediately kissing all over her flawless face. She pushed me off her.

"Ew. Jai you stink of puke and why do you look like you've been sleeping on the- WAIT! DID YOU JUST CALL ME FUCKING SKYLAR?!" she screamed at the top of her voice; she was too mean to be my Skylar.

"It was a mistake, bitch." I mumbled still feeling confused and sick but I snapped right out of the trance when her hand put great force on my cheek.

"Tiffany?" I said in shock.

"What is wrong with you Jai?! Are you drunk?!" she whispered so no one could hear.

I shook my head. "No, I just need her.."

"No! Jai, what you need is some serious mental help! You must have hit your head - like really hard." she said.

"No, I need Skylar," I groaned feeling impatient.

She ignored what I'd just said to remain calm, Jai, loads of people run away everyday and Skylar just happens to be one of them. She's gone Jai. Now move on and get a new friend. I'm the only girl you need in your life."

"Don't you see Tiff?! She made a home in my heart and just took off. I'm just so lost without her and I can't move on, I can't. "

"Okay, then. I'm just going to let that slide for the sake of our relationship. Go to the doctors then you can make up to me for what happened last night and for today. Flowers, jewellery, dinner at that new fancy restaurant will do oh and-"

"No!" I shouted.

She froze in mid sentence.

"What did you say to me?!"

"Did I stutter? I said no. Do I have to spell it out for you?!" I said raising my voice more.

Tiffany went red realising our conversation was attracting other people including the ones who went to our school. She pulled me closer to her so she wouldn't have to shout.

"Jai, we'll talk when you're sober." With that she turned to leave still angry.

"No, we won't talk later, Tiffany!" I shouted, her head immediately turned to me with a big frown on her face knowing everyone was looking at us.

"'Cause we're over! O-V-E-R, over!"

Everyone's mouths dropped as they were witnessing Tiffany get dumped for the first time; she was always the dumper not the dumpee.

Her eyes were so wide, they could pop out any minute, "NO! NO, NO, NO! YOU ARE NOT DUMPING ME IN FRONT OF EVERYBODY! YOU ARE NOT EVER DUMPING ME - NO JAI!" she screamed like a spoilt brat who didn't get what they wanted.

"I already have, Tiffany!" I said, I started to walk away but she grabbed my arm flinging my body to face her.

"I LOVE YOU!" she bellowed as she wrapped her arms around me forcing me to kiss her. I pushed her away in disgust.

"You're a spoiled little brat. Do you have any respect for yourself?! Look at you, you're just throwing yourself on guys; it doesn't make you cool Tiffany, just desperate. So stop it. Everyone is sick of hearing about your drama and hearing you talk about yourself 'cause that's all you ever do! Name one thing you actually love about me or about any other guys you've been out with..." her mouth stayed shut, "I thought so. You never even took time to get to know me."

"There was always only one girl - one out of hundreds who really got to know me, she moved to Sydney but got amnesia from a car crash. All her memories, gone in an instant. She couldn't remember anything about Melbourne, not even me. And when she came back, she tried so hard to remember everything, to remember me, and now she's gone. I lost her again, but for good this time." I whispered the last sentence. I wiped my tears not realising I'd been crying.

Everyone watched me with sympathy, though they didn't know me or the angel I was talking about.

"I promised her I wouldn't give up on her, that I would help her remember-"

"I remember..."
