The days continued to pass by. I hadn't met John in a while, but it was better this way

Isen and Blyke were also still pissed, so my only person I really talked to was Remi

But she was obsessed with EMBER, so that also wasn't the best option

At the end, I just spend time with myself, deep in thoughts

"Hey, did you hear about what happened?"

"What?"

"Seraphina, she first got hit by a rock and didn't heal", someone said, "and then she also got pushed off the stairs"

"Seraphina? Weird"

I snapped out of my thoughts

I quickly made my way to the infirmary. I slammed the door open, worried

"Sera!"

Seraphina was lying on the bed, her arm and leg injured. John was sitting next to her

"Hey Y/n", Sera said happily

"How are you this happy!? Are you okay?"

"I fell", she replied

"Someone is targeting her", John replied, "some girl"

"Ah great, now that's a problem more to add to the list", I sat down on the other side of Sera's bed

"And you'll have to add another problem to the list too", Seraphina said, "both of you"

John and I looked at her, confused

"The Interview I told you about: Everything went wrong", Seraphina said

She had told us that the authorities wanted to interview her again about unordinary

"What do you mean? What happened?", I asked

"I failed it in every way possible"

"Hey, why are you being so tough on yourself? It was just a couple questions, right?", John asked

"Yeah, wasn't it supposed to be easy?"

"They switched the interrogator on me, new guy's name was Keon, or whatever"

My body suddenly froze. Keon...

"He was very adamant and saw through everything I said, didn't let anything slip by him", Seraphina talked, "not only did he get me to confess, he also managed to make me say who was involved with the book, too"

She sighed

"I mentioned you two...sorry", Seraphina continued, "now he probably will want a talk with you two. This is all my fault, I should've been more careful"

"Hey- Sera, it's okay", I reassured her, "there's nothing to worry about, it's not your fault"

I was very worried, yes, but she didn't need to feel even more guilty

"There's nothing we can do about it now, just rest and prepare for the worst", I said

"Exactly, if this Keon guy wants to talk to us, then whatever", John smiled, "we'll figure something out"
