(Y/n) POV
John and I were walking to his house. Since Seraphina still couldn't go back to school, she was now staying at John's house
I tried to ignore everything I had found about him from Arlo. Even if he had an ability, John was still John, and that wouldn't change
After walking for a while, we finally reached his house. John opened the door
"Hey Sera! We're back", John and I said in unison
Sera was talking to some man. After taking a good look at him, I noticed his resemblance with John
"What the f-"
"John, welcome home!", the man smiled
"D-dad! What are you doing here!?", John asked surprised
"What? I can't visit my own son?", his dad replied, arms crossed
"You should be happier your dad's here, dummy", I said, smacking his head
"Oh, who are you?", his dad now looked at me
"I'm (Y/n), nice to meet you sir", I stretched out my hand
"No need to be so formal, call me william", he shook my hand
"You could've at least told me ahead of time!", John yelled now
"How? You hung up on me last week", he replied
"Busted", Sera and I snickered
John did not reply for a second. Then, after taking a deep breath, he turned to me
"(Y/n), Sera, could you guys give us a minute?", he asked kindly
"Looks like you need it", Seraphina said, while I nodded
"Wha-"
"C'mon dad, hurry up!", John said annoyed
"This is how you treat your father? At least let me put my bag down first!"
"Fine", John sighed, "hurry up"
The two left to john's room, still arguing
"They're a really chaotic duo", Sera chuckled
"Kinda reminds me of me and my dad", I smiled weakly
'or at least how it used to be...'
"You never actually talk about your family", Sera realized, "how are they like?"
