Got an idea!
So Dream XD accidentally linked with Dream's dream (confusing)
while he was in George's dream when he was in the prison and for the sake of the plot XD doesn't know about Dream being in there,despite the prison blocking out magic,XD manages to sneak in and spawn some animals to keep Dream company.

Reason why XD didn't just teleport Dream out is because both of them are linked not by soul but by power and so if one of their power weaken the others will too.

Gotten so bad that now XD can only infiltrate ones dreams, summon passive mobs,place down harmless blocks such as a moss block and change the weather.
