Gareth’s POV:

I tapped my foot softly and felt Sarah glaring at me. I smirked and looked over at Jareth. He was tapping his foot with his riding crop. We were tapping in rhythm. Abi looked at us and said,

“Who are you?” She looked at Sarah and Sarah smiled at her. Jareth was one lucky guy. His wife was beautiful and gentle. But, from the wound on her stomach and the stories that the Goblins told she was quite brave as well.

Jareth was the first to answer the little girl’s question,

“I am the Goblin King. This is my wife, Sarah,” He gestured to her and then pointed at me and said, “And that is my sometimes annoying twin brother, Gareth.” She giggled and, hopping off the bed, walked over to me. She scrawled onto my leg and sat down on my knee.

I smiled at her and she laid her head against my chest. Jareth chuckled and moved to sit beside Sarah. He entwined their hands and glared at me. I rolled my eyes. As he leaned back and sighed, Jareth said,

“You are not to be fetching anymore wished away children. I can’t have my new goblins becoming loyal to you.” I frowned and was instantly confused. He noticed and chuckled again, “A wished away child takes to the first person they see. Normally, that is me. But, in this instant it is you.”

I laughed and ran a hand over Abi’s hair. To tell the truth, I liked her. She was a sweet child. If there was some way for her not to become a goblin I would have offered to adopt her as my own daughter. Sarah glared at Jareth and snapped,

“So, that is why Toby liked you so much?” I heard the ice in her voice and Jareth rolled his eyes. His reply was quite sarcastic,

“Well, they say that children are the best judge of character.” If looks could kill Jareth would be six feet under. They stared at each for a moment before he kissed her. I snapped a hand over Abi’s eyes and then over my own. Yeah, neither of us needed to see whatever might happen.

A moment later, I heard Jareth laugh.

“Gareth, why don’t you just go if you can’t keep your eyes uncovered?” I peeked through my fingers and saw that they were just grinned at him. I removed Abi from my knee and stood up.

“Yes, I believe I shall. And, I shall take Abi with me. Enjoy your time together.” I picked up the girl and marched out of the room. If they wanted to kiss each other like they like to do then there was no reason for me to be there.

We walked down the hall and into Jareth’s throne room. Abi jumped down from my arms and walked over to the throne. Her first reaction was to get into it and grin at me. I laughed and walked over to her. Picking her up, I sat down on the throne and set her in my lap.

I tickled her a little and she giggled.

“How do you like it here, Abi?” She thought for a moment and said,

“I like very much.” I beamed and crafted a crystal ball. Inside it was her sister. Abi took the ball from my hands and said,

“That sister. She is coming to find me?” I Nodded and took the ball from her. As I watched Alice I couldn’t help but smile. She was really pretty. A unique girl to tell the truth. I couldn’t help but be fascinated by her.

Her clothes were mostly black while her hair was a pretty shade of brown. Her eyes were blue and in general she was a very pretty girl. Her figure was nice and shapely. She was fifteen which was when most Fae woman were married.

We were immortal and really didn’t have to be married so soon but it was a stupid human custom. We had been so closely aligned with the humans when we had lived Aboveground that we had adopted some of their customs. Early marrying ages was one of them.

That was why Jareth hadn’t cared that Sarah was only fifteen. He had seen a girl at prime age for marrying. But, human changed while we never did.

I tossed the ball against the wall and laughed slightly. Abi giggled and I tickled her again. She giggled and jumped off my lap. I smiled as I watched her run around the throne room. She seemed perfectly happy with the drunken goblins. I, on the other hand, had some business.

Maybe I should pay a visit to a certain Labyrinth runner named Alice? Yes, that sounded like a grand idea. A very grand idea.

Author’s Note:

Dear Readers,

Sorry it is so short. I wanted to throw something in with Gareth. I kinda like him. Not as much as Jareth but he is fun. This section was filler but I thought necessary. I hope you enjoyed it.
