It's You And Me, Always

The Big Day Pt. 1

Hiccup's POV:
Today's the day. I woke up and rushed downstairs to eat breakfast. There was so much to do today. I have to go check the cove one last time to see if everything was perfect. Then I have to go over to Dad's office, so he could help me get ready. Then my favorite part, I get to watch Astrid walk down the aisle.

"Hiccup!" I heard my Dad yell from upstairs

"Coming!" I yell back while running up the stairs "Yes, Dad?" I pop my head into his room

"You gotta come to my office at 4pm, then me, Barnaby and Jacob will drive you to the cove. The wedding starts at 6:30 so we have to be there at 5" He says while running about his room, grabbing things for the day

"Got it Dad" I say then run back downstairs. I had a few a couple hours to kill, so since it was only 12, I just roamed around the town for a while, then at around 3 I made my way to the cove

I step into the cove and I let out a gasp in awe. The lake, completely frozen over, and the waterfall looks as if it's frozen in time. The arch, where me and Astrid would soon get married under, looked beautiful with the white, red, and pink flowers all clashing together nicely. Ruff and Tuff covered the lake with a tarp to avoid people from slipping, and there was a red carpet in the middle of the aisles of chairs that started from the entrance of the cove and ended right under the arch. I shake my head at how well the twins did, then looking at the time, I rushed off to Dad's office to get ready

"Daaad, I'm here!" I knock on his office door

"Come in!" He says

I walk in and Dustin runs up to me, and I pick him up, giving him a big hug. "Hi Hiccupy!" He says excitedly

"Hiya Dusty. Toothless, easy boy!" I say as Toothless comes running at me, almost knocking me down

"Son, your tux is in the closet over there. How's the cove looking?" He asks while looking through some paperwork

"The cove looks amazing, Dad. The twins really outdid themselves" I say carefully taking the tux out of the closet

"Excellent. Well, I'll change Dusty into his tux, then we'll get going. Barnaby and Jacob are coming in 10 minutes." He says picking Dustin up and leaving the room. I run into the toilet and get changed. Dad walks back in just as I'm putting the jacket on, some 5 minutes later. "You look great, son" He says smiling at me 

"You and Dustin don't look that bad either" I say grinning, and he laughs

"Get Toothless in his cage, and meet me outside" He says placing a beanie on Dustin's head. I let Toothless in his cage then head out.

Astrid's POV:
I slept at Heather's place, so that the girls could help me get ready. Since the wedding started at 6:30, and we had to be there at 5, Heather, Ruffnut, and my Mother started doing my hair and makeup at 2.

"Are you guys done yet?" I ask after an hour

"Almost, we just need to do your hair" My mother says

"Can't I just keep it the way I usually do it?" I ask

"Nope. C'mon A, it's your wedding day! Don't you wanna look nice?" Ruffnut asks me, looking at me from the mirror 

"I do but isn't that a tad bit too much?" I ask

"Didn't Hiccup say he'd like to see with your hair down more often?" Heather said with a smug look on her face
