Aditya pov:

The rain drops collapsing with the windows were the only noise I could hear. Along side a thunder which made a roar that owned the sky right now.

As I layed on the bed on my back looking at the celling. Holding a pen in one hand and a note pad in another thinking about the plot of my on going script.

Even though I know this will get rejected whether it's good enough or not. Atleast it's worth trying. Because in the future I don't a "what if i" moment.

I heard someone knocking my door. Knowing it was my amma, I opened the door and came back sat on the edge of the bed.

'Ennada achu unnaku? Inniki full ah sapuda kuda illa. Kitchen kula pona nee samaikavum illa?' She said with worried voice. ( An:He lives alone away from his family. They are paying him a visit now.)

(What happened to you dear? Why haven't you eaten anything? You're kitchen is so empty)

'Samaikurathulam vitutaen maa. Samaika kuda thonala. Swiggy zomato la panna kuda pudikala. Veetu sapadu miss pannuraen'

(I've lost interest in cooking ma. It just feels empty. And Swiggy and zomato doesn't seem appetising anymore)

She came a sat next to me running her fingers through my hair, patting my head. I just signed and kept the note pad away. Just then I noticed the plate in her hand with my favourite food.

Dosa and thakkali chutney. My mom's special.

'Amma ku eppo da nee eluthura kathai solla pora?' She said as she started feeding me like the little grown kid I am.

'Solluraen seelaroma......Amma ennaku nalaiku poga vennam maa' I said with a sad voice.

(Soon!.....I don't wanna go tomorrow mom)

'Nan enna pannurathu unga appa nalaiku ponnumnu otha kal nikiraru. Nanum pesi pathitaen. Nee inga chennai la irrukanum na nalaiku pogu than aganum da' She replied.
I know she had tried her best from not going tomorrow since she knew I wasn't interested in marriage right now in my life.

(I've tried my best da but you're dad isn't even slightly compromised. She is sure about going tomorrow. If yoy want to stay in chennai and pursue your career. This is the only way)

I just ate quietly. How can I just marry a stranger? I know I won't be able to even make her feel loved.

I sang to myself as I was drew an outlet for work. Re doing the work for the 10th time since I couldn't get it right. Perks of being an architect I guess.

I switched on a song as I listened to the rain. Songs and rain is a bliss!
Cha nala coffee and suda suda baji (good coffee and hot baji)  mattum irrutha day made!

As I hummed along to songs. My brother entered with coffee as if he read my mind!

'Thangammmmm konja neram break edu da. Inga paru anney pasam payasam lam kalathu oru coffee potu vanthurukaen'

I put down the pencil and took the coffee from him and sat down on the swing inside our home and patted my side for my brother to sit aswell.

'Thanks neyyy nan ippo than nenaichaen coffee pathi!' I exclaimed happily as I tool a sip.

He hummed happily until his face changed to a serious one. 'Nalaiku avanga varathu pathu bayama irruka daa?'

(Not scared just nervous. I've already got rejected but some of the men who came last time. And mom already has a hate towards me. This only made it more trouble with me and her)

Rakshan anna hugged me from the side and I rested my head on his shoulder.

(I'm not worried about rejection. You know I'm not interest in this but I'm doing this just for her so she would atleast show my a little bit of love)

I nodded and pulled away. 'Avaru pakka eppudi irrukaru?' I asked since I haven't seen the picture.

(He's coming tomorrow so then I'll see him)

He took the mug from me as I finished it. And he said to me one last time before going to bed.

'Ennaku etho ituu set agum nu thonuthu'

(I think you'll like him)

'Ennaku etho nee anni kitta inniki thitu vanga poraem nu thonuthu' I said laughing.

(And I think you're gonna get scolding from your wife aka my sister in law)

'Adiyeaa koruthu undatha' as she whispered as he walked out of the room.

I laughed as looked ahead of me into the rain and the dark sky.
