The troops stood in line, [Y/n] next to Mulan, all dressed in their armor, as Shang gave a speech in front of them, Chi Fu next to him.
"The Huns are vast. They are ruthless and unpredictable. Yet physical force need not be met with equal force. The warrior yields to force and redirects it."
Mushu hid behind Mulan with Crickee.
"Man it is so hot in here, I want to go get some fresh air." The dragon complained, making Mulan quietly shush him, and [Y/n] roll her eyes.
"Disadvantage can be turned into an advantage. Four ounces can move 1,000 pounds." Shang continued.
"The garrisons continue to fall to the Northern Invaders. We have been called to war. We leave to defend the Mountain-Steppe Garrison against the Rouran invader. Up until now, you've been boys playing soldiers. Today, you become men."
[Y/n] took a deep breath at that statement.
"You will now take the oath of the warrior... pledging fidelity to the three pillars of virtue. The enemy possesses none of these... and therefore can be defeated. Remember this when you meet him on the battlefield."
Shang drew his sword.
"Draw sword!"
The troops did so.
"Loyal."
"Loyal!" The soldiers repeated after him.
"Brave."
"Brave!"
"True."
"True!"
[Y/n] paused at the last word, not saying it with the rest of the warriors, glancing down at her sword with guilt.
"Return swords! In!"
The soldiers marched on and on and on and on, and now, their feet were tired, but they kept marching either way.
SOLDIERS:
For a long time we've been marching off to battle
YAO:
In our thundering herd, we feel a lot like cattle
SOLDIERS:
Like the pounding beat, our aching feet aren't easy to ignore.
LING:
Hey!
Think of instead, a girl worth fighting for!
"Huh?" [Y/n] asked, confused and a little bit amused.
LING:
That's what I said!

I want her paler than the moon, with eyes that shine like stars.
YAO:
My girl will marvel at my strength, adore my battle scars!
CHIEN PO:

The soldiers were now crossing a river, Yao turned to Mulan.
YAO:
Bet the local girls thought you were quite the charmer!
LING:
And I bet the ladies love a man in armor!
SOLDIERS:
You can guess what we have missed the most
Since we went off to war!
"What? Eww." [Y/n] said, disgusted by that last line.
They passed some young girls harvesting rice, and Mushu catcalled at them, making the girls think it was Mulan.
The girls giggled, making Mulan smile shyly and [Y/n] roll her eyes.
LING:
What do we want?
SOLDIERS:
A girl worth fighting for!
YAO:
My girl will think I have no flaws
CHIEN PO:
That I'm a major find
MULAN:
How 'bout a girl who's got a brain, who always speaks her mind?
LING, YAO, CHIEN PO:
Nah!
LING:
My manly ways and turn of phrase and sure to thrill her!
YAO:
He thinks he's such a lady-killer!
Yao slapped Auto's behind, making the horse run forward, and Ling trip and fall into the mud.
[Y/n] ran forward to meet Mulan.
"Hey, what you said back there. Is that really the type of girl you prefer?"
"Oh? Yeah. I don't want a girl who just sits still and look pretty, I want one who can stand up for herself, be independent and also knows how to take care of the household." Mulan replied, making [Y/n] blush a bit.
"Well, those type of girls are very hard to find."
"Hmm……that's true, but I already met a lady like that."
"Oh really, where?"
"At the matchmaker's." Mulan said, and walked forward leaving [Y/n] gaping after him, blushing furiously.
She walked closer to the cart.
"You hear that Mushu, Mulan is interested in the girl at the matchmaker's. That girl is me, I'm that girl." She whisper yelled excitedly.
"Nah ah. That girl, is [Y/n]. You're Ping." Mushu reminded.
"Yeah, yeah, whatever." [Y/n] said, brushing him off.
The soldiers started climbing up a mountain, full of snow mind you.
CHI FU:
I've a girl back home who's unlike any other!
[Y/N]:
Yeah, the only girl who'd love him is his mother!
She whispered to Mulan and Yao making them laugh, and Chi Fu glare at her.
SOLDIERS:
But when we come home, in victory
They'll line up at the door!
LING:
What do we want?
SOLDIERS:
A girl worth fighting for!
LING:
Wish that I had
SOLDIERS:
