Chapter 16

Princess

I felt myself stiffen when I realized that we were already kissing inside his car

"Jude" I said surprisingly

He bowed while facing the driving wheel and expelled a small laugh

"Sorry.. I just can't help myself"

"What?"

He faced me and I was shocked when I noticed the tears falling from his eyes

"You haven't guessed it yet? It's been so many years Princess. So many years of finding ways for you to notice me. So many years of finding ways for you to love me." He said then laughed sadly

"I'm.. Sorry" I said as I faced the other side.

I can feel my heartbeat pump fast as tears are falling down from my eyes, I tried to stop the tears from falling but I can not control it anymore and I just sobbed inside his car

I sobbed even more when I heard Jude crying too. A happy, jolly person like him is crying and hurting because of me. I can't believe it. I just can't.

I heard that he expelled a heavy sigh, The reason why I maintained quiet.

"Shh. Tahan na Princess.. Uuwi na tayo ha? para makapag pahinga ka na.." He said while his voice cracked and I looked at him. He was staring at me, smilling, and his eyes were still reddish..

"You can just leave me here, Jude" I said.

"No. I am not leaving you here."

"Jude! Jude our feelings are not mutual! Are you not angry about that?"

"I know that.. A lot and no. I am not angry.. How can I get angry to the person that also makes me happy?"

"Ju--"

"Let me help you, Princess. Let me be your sidekick like the old times."

"I'll hurt you." I said softly

"I am ready for anything, Princess" he said

"...anything"

By that being said he held my hand

And I cried even more

"Why are you hurting yourself by holding on to me?" I asked

"Because that's how I love you" He answered in return.

He started the engine and until we're infront of their house

"Let's go?" He said as he opened the door beside me.

"Thanks" I said and then nodded

I felt a bit tired as we we're walking inside their house

"Jude!!" Someone from afar yelled

As the person came nearer I recognized that it was Tita Juliet.

"Hi tita" I said softly while letting myself smile sadly.

"Princess?" She looked at Jude and then looked at me again

"You've grown!" She said before hugging me

"Mom, She'll be staying for us in a while"

Tita parted and looked at Jude

"Sure.. Remember Princess our home is always open for you" Tita said before she smiled

"Well Mom, Princess is tired...." he said while he gently pulled me near him

"Let us let her sleep and rest.. I'll guide her to her room, Mom" he smiled to his mother

Tita nodded but the moment we turned our back on her.. He called out to Jude

"Anak!" She said and automaticaly we paused "Anak why is your eyes sore?"

"You know Mom, Polution and maybe I'm just tired Mom.. Don't worry" He said while his face turned to look at his mother and I feel a bit pained knowing that he lied.

"Okay anak.. Osya mag pahinga na kayo.. Good night" Tita said before leaving and entering her and tito's room.

Jude guided me to the room and also helped me to unpack my things.

"Buti nalang nandito ka. May kasama ako"

"Ha?" I said facing him

"Mom, Dad and My lil sis are going to a family trip tomorrow.. Syempre babalik din naman sila pero gabi na"

"Eh family trip naman pala eh! Bat hindi ka sumama?"

"I can't stand to leave my happiness, Even just for a day." He said while directly looking in to my eyes.

"Jude" I whispered while he touched my cheeck

"Rest" He said while letting go a sad smile

I just nodded for an answer.
