3rd person's POV
Marcy turned red and started stuttering.

"Uh, w-what? Y-You're asking me out?" Marcy asked.

"Yep." Anne jokingly said.

Marcy couldn't say anything, even though she wanted to.

Oh my gosh, she just asked me out. What do I say? I probably look like an idiot right now.

Marcy brought herself out of her thoughts.

"Um, I-I need more time to think." Marcy said.

Anne stared at her in confusion before saying. "What?"

"What?" Marcy said back.

Anne shook her head before chuckling.

"Sorry, it's just- your acting was really good." Anne said.

Marcy's smile faltered and she was even more confused now.

"What do you mean 'my acting'?" Marcy asked.

"Like, when I 'asked you out', you were really red, so good acting." Anne said, and turned back to the cards and gifts.

Marcy frowned at that but nodded anyways.

"Yeah, acting."

Marcy tried to rack her brain for any ideas of why Anne didn't actually have a crush on her.

Until Anne and Sprig's conversation from the other night came back to her head.

"I'll have you know, I am not single!" Anne said.

"Okay, yeah, sure. Then who are you dating?" Sprig asked..

"Well, um, me and her relationship is... complicated." Anne said.

She likes someone else... Marcy thought.

Marcy sighed and looked at Anne.
