the falling of sand in an hourglass,

neither too slow nor too fast,

watching each granule descend into the rest,

feeling neither blissful nor depressed,

until the sand had finished at the top,

then only did I realize that

the passing of time was non-stop.

this is my very first poetry collection and i poured my heart and soul into it, taking time to reflect on my life and racking my brains to come up with the most eloquent and creative ways to express my feelings to the best of my capability. these stanzas and verses are all the words that i've kept inside for a very long time and i'm elated that i can finally share them with you.

the fact that we live in a spacetime continuum has always fascinated me. the ticking of a clock, the beeping of a stopwatch, i've always wondered how these seemingly insignificant things could make such a huge difference when in reality, moments make up memories.

if you're still reading this, I applaud you for your unusual patience for self indulgent ramblings. thank you, now continue to the next chapter!
