*Akari's POV*
It's a Saturday and we usually don't have practice at this hour but yet here I am with Levi sneaking into the dojo.
Akari: Yep just as I thought.. it's locked
Levi: It's fine we can just go through the vent
Akari: Are you crazy?! We could get in trouble for opening it! Plus I might be able to fit in but you won't.
Levi: How do you know that?
Akari: Because! I've been in there before and it gets smaller the deeper you go. I'd probably have to squeeze you through.
"Oh yeah I forgot your tiny" Levi said while punching my arm and pulling out his phone.
Akari: OH C'MON IM NOT EVEN THAT SMALL I HAVE A PRETTY AVERAGE HEIGHT! Anyways who are you calling?
Levi: I'm resorting to our last option.
Akari: Which is???
Levi: Begging Danielle to come open the dojo and let us use it for a bit.
Akari: Ok.. not our best bet but it's better than breaking in.
Levi: Yeah well we better hope she's close by or she's not coming
(On the phone)
Danielle: Hello?
Levi: Hey Danielle it's me Levi
Danielle: Oh hey little dude! What's up?
Levi: I know this is kinda last minute but I was wondering if you could come unlock the dojo?
(Off the phone)
"Well your in luck" Danielle said as she walked towards us
Levi and I looked to our right to see Danielle standing there.
Akari: Danielle! That was quicker than I expected
Danielle: Hey Akari! Yeah I was actually already on my way before Levi called.
Akari: Ah I see
Danielle: Anyways let's go inside; just don't tell Mr. Watakoshi I let you guys in
All of them went inside the dojo and while Danielle stared to unpack her things, Levi and Akari got changed and started stretching
Danielle: Sooo I never really expected to see you two in particular here on your free time
"Yeah well uh... Levi actually offered to teach me the butterfly kick today!" Akari replied happily
Levi: It's only because you were begging me last practice 😒
Akari: Okay well you never had to offer to teach me again in the first place
Danielle: I'm just surprised you offered your free time to teach her this Levi; ya know since you guys always fight and all
"Yeah that reminds me why did you offer to teach me today?" Akari asked Levi.
Levi: I don't know, I guess I just figured that out of all of us your one of the only people who doesn't know how to do it properly
*Levi gets up from stretching*
"and I wanted to help you out" Levi said as he looked towards me.
This was the first time he's done something generally kind for me in years. I don't know it kinda shocked me a bit and I think it showed in the way I replied.
"Oh uhhh yeah! Thanks again forrr helping me out!" 😄 I said as I fumbled with my words.
Levi: Anyways let's get started
Akari: Right!
Danielle: Okay well I have some stuff to work on in the other room you guys just do your thing in here and call me if you need me
Akari and Levi: Got it!
We started by practicing high kicks on a bag and slowly worked out way up to the butterfly kick. We kept going at it for a straight 15 minutes but I still couldn't get the kick right.
*Akari falls on her face again*
"Oww...why can't I get right?"Akari groaned
"Maybe it would help if you tied up your ridiculously long hair. Seriously how do you even fight with it in your face all the time?!" Levi said annoyed with his hands on his hips
Akari: I HAVE NO IDEA IT JUST ALWAYS WORKED FOR ME! But I guess right now that's not the case...hold on lemme go get a hair tie.
Akari got a hair tie from her bag and tied it up in a high ponytail. As she was finishing tying it up, she glanced at Levi to see him just staring at her with a blank look on his face.
"Uhh is there something wrong?" she asked confused
"Nothing..." Levi said while looking away
Levi: You look nice with your hair tied up why don't you wear it like that more often?
Akari: I don't know I guess it was just always comfier down
They stood in silence for a few seconds
Akari: Well are just gonna stand there or are you gonna help me?!
Levi: Alright Alright c'mon try it again
Akari once again attempted the butterfly kick and this time she actually did it perfectly. Through she did stumble a bit after landing.
"AH" Akari screamed while falling down
Akari: wait... OH MY GOD, I DID IT!
Levi: SEE I TOLD YOU IT WAS YOUR HAIR
"OH SHUT UP" Akari yelled at Levi annoyed
"Well hey, you finally got it down; good job," Levi said as he put his hand out the help Akari up
"What's this? You're complimenting me now?" Akari said while giving him a smug look
"Don't get used to it" Levi replied rolling his eyes
The two did a fist bump
Akari: Thanks :)
"No problem" Levi said as he slightly laughed
Little did they know that their friends and teacher were spying on them
"Aw they're finally getting along," Danielle thought as she watched from the other room.
*outside the window*
Jake: Well would ya look at that
Martin: They're acting like friends again! 😊
Selena: Never expected this in a million years
Aiden: It's to see them getting along though maybe now we can all be a normal friend group again
All of a sudden they heard screams from inside the the building. They all turned their heads to see that the two were at it again
"Ugh I spoke to soon..." Aiden said while face palming his forehead
Jake, Selena and Martin giggled at the site
