tw // mentions of death

---

Asahi ruffles his hair in distress trying to think of something to write. The man sitting in front of a computer is currently experiencing the enemy of writers, a writer's block.

Sighing, trying to think of ways to write even just a word but to his dismay, couldn't.

Just as he was about pop a braincell trying to think of something to write, someone calls him. He picks it up, smiling, reading the name his phone displays.

"Hey." Asahi said,

"Hey, how are you?"

"I'm fine... I guess?"

"Why? What's wrong, sahi?"

Asahi smiled at the nickname, everyone calls him that but it always feels different when she says it.

"It's just that I'm having trouble coming up with something to write for my new story"

"Oh, well then, how about let's go out? Just for a bit, maybe... i-if you're free?"

He let out a small laugh, "Yeah, sure, the usual place?"

"Mhm, the usual"

"Okay, see you there, bye, love you"

"You too, bye"

A small smile plastered on his face as he ends the call,

When will she ever say it back? He wonders.

Sighing for the nth time, he gets up from his warm seat and heads to his closet to find something comfortable to wear.

After finding a fashionable outfit, he grabs his keys and locks his apartment's door then headed out to their favorite coffee shop near the park.

As he arrived there, he noticed the girl he has been courting inside. He hurriedly goes in the café greeted by the strong aroma of coffee which he loves so much.

Approaching the girl seated next to the windows, their favorite spot, hugging the younger then seats in front of her.

"Y/N, you look good as always" he greeted,

"Asahi," he looked at her eyes, those of hers where he can stare all day without getting tired of it,

"I have something to say," the younger said which made Asahi pull out of his trance.

he noticed the shift of mood of the younger, her face is uncomfortable or maybe nervous?

'Is she rejecting me? Did she already got tired of me? Did I do something wrong?'

Worries drowns his mind thinking of something that could compensate with the actions of the person in front.

"U-uh, before that can we order first? I mean, if that's okay with you" he cutted, trying to change the topic.

"Yeah, sure, go ahead" he smiled in return.

Minutes passed and now they're waiting for their orders,

"Uhm, Asahi-"

"Y/N! What eyeshadow are you using today? It makes your eyes pop, I like it." he smiles, trying to avoid whatever she is about to say again, afraid of the female rejecting him.

"Oh, it's the same eyeshadow I always use..." she awkwardly laughs,

"Oh?" he embarrassingly said joining the younger who's awkwardly laughing

"Uhm... but I added a little bit of glitter to make it shine..." she trailed off, a small hint of pink appearing on her cheeks at the fact that Asahi 'unintentionally' noticed the little detail,

"here's your orders" the waiter said as he placed down their drinks and a slice of cheesecake Asahi has been craving for.

Asahi digs in his favorite cheesecake, but the lady in front just stared at him eating which made the man shift in his seat uncomfortably.

"So, uh wh-"

"I like you. "

"What?" surprised by the sudden confession, Asahi smiles in disbelief

"Ah, nevermind, I'm really bad at these things" the girl murmurs, sulking and turning pink at the statement she said earlier

"No, it's okay, just say it again. I'm afraid I was hearing things" Asahi looks forward, smirking, waiting for the latter to say those words he has been waiting to hear forever.

"I-I like you very much... and I would love to go out with you" Y/N looks away trying to hide from embarrassment but slowly turned her head back in front when she didn't hear any response from the older and saw Asahi just smiling like a fool, it was probably the brightest smile she have ever seen from him

"Are you okay? Is something wrong?" the girl worriedly asks,

"Nothing... it's just that- thank you, thank you for giving us a chance." Asahi said which earned a smile from Y/N

"I'll make you think that you're the happiest and luckiest girl in this world we live in" Asahi continued,

"I'll be the one beside you in your highs and lows, your diary, and your bestfriend"

"I'll love you, no matter the consequence" Asahi smiled, looking at the younger so dear

"Wow, I wonder what your wedding vows would look like" Y/N let out a small laugh

"Would you like to find out?" smiling, Asahi winked at the younger, soon laughters of two people crowded the small area they're located

"What the fuck" Asahi wakes up, all confused, wiping dry tears that have fallen on his cheeks

"Why am I still dreaming about her" He wonders, standing up and going out of bed to start his day remembering about the wedding he's supposed to attend, as the groom.

Grabbing his phone on the nightstand beside his bed, he notices a small jewerly placed on top.

A ring with a small diamond on top. It was the engagement ring that broke them apart,

He picked it up alongside his phone, looking at it closely, "You'll hear my vows from up above, right?" Asahi displayed a bitter smile

He sighed, "If only the world wasn't so cruel, you'll be the one hearing my vows, the one walking down the aisle, and the one I'll marry and love till my last breath" Asahi said while looking at the ring,

"If only I proposed at the right time, we would have been what they call 'perfect love', but I guess perfect love doesn't exist." a tear dropping down, wiping it away but to no avail couldn't. He's now breaking down, small sobs could be heard.

"I loved you, my angel"

"but now I'm loving someone else."
