Cassandra's POV
My whole world seems like a joke as I stare at my Dad.
He had his eyes closed and he just looks like he’s sleeping inside his casket.
I wanted to believe that he’s still breathing and that this is all some kind of prank.
But I have to accept the truth.
He’s really...dead.
He’s gone. Forever.
I won’t be able to talk to him.
I won’t be able to hear him say ‘princess’.
I won’t be able to hear him laugh.
I won’t be able to watch him work in his mini office at our house.
I won’t be able to spend time with him.
I have so many regrets.
I should have told him how much I love him.
I should have thanked him for all the care and support that he gave me.
“You’re unfair” I whispered at him. “Madami pa kong tanong dad, but you left me immediately”
I felt Lance’s hand on mine.
He kissed my left hand and pulled me into his arms.
Kahit na ayaw ni Mama na nandito si Lance ay wala siyang magawa.
Madami kaming bisita at hindi niya akong pwede pahiyain sa lahat ng mga tao dito.
Hindi na rin kami nakakapagusap dahil tuwing lumalapit ako sa kanya ay iniiwasan niya ako or di kaya magpapanggap siyang busy siya.
At home, I kept trying to talk to her but she will just raise her hand and ask for me to stop.
Mas masakit yung ginagawa niya ngayon.
Mas gusto ko pa yung sinisigawan niya ko kaysa ituring akong patay na rin.
“Dad, come back please. I still need you” I muttered and cried again.
Lance hugged me tighter to comfort me.
