As the two were following the energy signature left behind by the shard, they continued to talk about alexis' life in the village,

Y/n: so alexis, have you met any boys that you like recently?

Alexis: actually yes, there was this young boy, I think he was around 18, he had orange hair, we spent a few weeks together, we made love a few times, he had to leave eventually though, butnhe said he'd come back for me after his war was finished and make me his wife,

A shadow was covering y/n's face as he thought of the only person he knew with orange hair,

Y/n: what was his name?

Alexis: his name was Arthur, he never told me his last name though,

Y/n snapped almost immediately his eyes were a fiery red, he roared so loud it shook the very earth, and even the sins could hear his scream,

Y/n: PENDRAGON!!!!!!!!

Y/n: I'm gonna kill him, I'm actually gonna kill him,

Alexis: no dad! Please don't I really like him and he seemed sincere and genuine,

Y/n: do you love him?

Alexis: yes

Y/n: ok good then I won- wait a minute, you told me he slept with you?

Arthur: was that sir y/n? Why did he sound so angry?

Arthurs face paled as he realised what y/n had shouted

Arthur: wait, he shouted my name, oh god what did I do?

After recovering from the shock of Arthur potentially being his son in law, y/n continued on the search for the shard of chaos,

After searching for a while longer they stopped for lunch

Alexis: so what special concoction have you made up for lunch?

Y/n: chicken salad,

Alexis' eyes flashed with disappointment, which didn't go unnoticed by her father,

Y/n: you can't have all these inventions of mine every day alexis, you'll get fat, its best to balance it out with something healthier every now and then, besides it has fresh lemon squeezed into it and I have some olive oil if you want to drizzle some on top, I also have some cheese I found in another one of my travels, the locals called it parmigiano reggiano,

The two ate their lunch in relative silence before packing up and heading out to continue their search

Alexis: we're getting close, I can feel it,

Y/n: be on the lookout, we don't know where the host could be, and the shard of darkness tends to corrupt the minds of those who have a weak will, the plague we saw is a result of that, so expect the host to be hostile, even if they try to beg and plead dont fall for it,

Alexa: got it

Y/n: oh and one more thing, this fight you'll have to do alone, only the host of light can harm the host of darkness, therefore I'll be completely useless in this fight,

Alexis: I thought you could kill anything since your chaos' son?

Y/n: I might be an op protagonist, but I still have my limits, I can't just rubber chicken everything out of existence,
