Chapter 8 The New Gear

A/n: so this is going to be a mini chapter, just detailing the new upgrades y/n gets before the sins head off to coland, I've got something pretty big planned and I wanna spread it out over multiple chapters,

-flashback to merlin and y/n exchanging gifts-

Y/n had just given merlin her lovers day gift

Merlin: oh... thank you.... what is it?

Y/n: oh right, its my blood, I figured you could use it in a few of the experiments your doing with demons,

Merlin: oh well thank you very much, I'll be sure to make good use of it, and now, for your gift

Merlin gave y/n a small black ring with a purple gem running through it

Y/n: holy.... merlin thats amazing how did you get this?

Merlin: I made it myself actually, its not only a ring you know,

Y/n: its not? What else does it do?

Merlin: armorum sanguinis exire tenentur

(Latin for, come forth, armour bound by blood)

Black armour began to cover his body until he was left in a sleek, streamlined, armoured robe with a decorated hood, the plate armour itself was made out of dark steel, a very rare crafting component found only in the demon realm, even there it was so scarce that nobody had ever collected enough to even make a dagger out of it, so to make an entire set of armour must have taken merlin hundreds of years, dark steel is said to be so strong that if struck with a sacred treasure, the sacred treasure would either have no effect or would shatter upon impact. The armour covered a lot of his body but still had some vital spots left open, so he wasn't completely invulnerable, the robes were designed to be climate proof, enchanted to cool down in hot temperatures and vice versa, she also forged his two swords into one sacred treasure, that could change its form between a longsword and a bow

After checking himself out for a solid 5 minutes y/n turned to merlin

Y/n: Well? How do I look?

Merlin: edgy

He pouted and turned away with a huff,

Y/n: fine then, I'm gonna go hang out with mel for a bit you wanna come?

Merlin: no thank you, I'm going to go and get to work on this blood you've given me, its demon blood without a doubt, but I feel like there's more to it than meets the eye,

Y/n: Well, dont loom too hard into it, you might tire yourself out,

Merlin: hmm

And with that she teleported off to go run some tests on his blood,

-present-

Y/n and meliodas were sat at the boar hat talking about elizabeth, and how she asked about her previous lives,

Y/n: so, do you think she's remembering? If she asked you about previous lives thats gotta be a sign right?

Mel: I dont know, I brushed her off and said it was nothing, but I have a feeling that's not the end of it,

Y/n: don't worry brother we'll get through this, you remember my promise?

Mel: the one you made in the cave 16 years ago after danafall?

Y/n: good, you do, and remember brother, I never break a promise

He got up and went to the stairs only to collide with a frantic elizabeth,

Elizabeth: y/n come quick barzards been bitten by a wolf!

Y/n: sorry wha- OH SHIT!!

he bolted back down the stairs straight at meliodas

Y/n: MEL!

Meliodas' head shot up at the loud shout from his brother

Mel: what is it y/n?

Y/n: she's remembering Mel, we haven't got much time left until they all return,

Merlin had overheard the conversation, and was just about to go and look for elizabeth when she came running through the door with the goddess symbol in both eyes,

Merlin: elizabeth, do you know who I am?

Elizabeth: of course I do merlin, my you've grown so much, your a beautiful woman now, oh and y/n, how lovely to see you again little brother,

Diane: wait, how can he be elizabeth and meliodas' brother when they're not related that doesn't make sense?

Merlin: elizabeth is the daughter of the supreme deity, while y/n's mother was pregnant with him she made a deal with the supreme deity, the supreme deity mixed her own DNA in with the unborn child's, creating a hybrid between goddess and demon,

Ban: so y/n is a hybrid, huh thats pretty cool I guess...

Elizabeth started wobbling then fainted,

Meliodas and y/n both had looks of utter pain and sorrow, both together muttered the same thing

Both: its all over...

A/n: aaand thats the end of Chapter 8 guys, sorry for the cliffhanger but I'm pretty sure we all know what happens next, thats all for now, ill see you in the next chapter of
