Everyone was gathered round y/n's bed, they were all worried as its been nearly an entire day since he passed out

Arthur: lady merlin, will he wake up soon? It seems like he means a lot to you

Merlin: oh, you have no idea my king, he means so much more to me than you could ever imagine, he was the only one there for me after the destruction of my people

Arthur: what about meliodas, you seem close with him too

Merlin: he's a good friend but I'm not as close with him as I am y/n, he means everything to me

Arthur: *slightly jealous* oh... I see

A sudden shuffling noise and a groan halted their conversation, they looked over to the source to see y/n sitting up rubbing his temples

Y/n: man I have a massive headache, how long was I out?

Merlin: 16 hours 24 minutes and 11 seconds

Y/n: were you seriously keeping track? Yaknow that's kinda adorable

Merlin turned a shade of red that would put the hair of a certain crimson devil princess to shame

Merlin: i-i d-dont know what your talking about

king: woah, did merlin just blush!?

Mel: yup, he's the only person who's ever been able to do that

(Y/n pov)

Well, its good that I have my memories back, and with them the knowledge of my chaos powers, however, my body still isn't strong enough to completely reclaim my power yet, which means for now I can't access light form, or my true form for that matter.

I look up towards merlin and Arthur and I see a weird looking cat on arthurs head.

WAIT A MINUTE THATS CATH!

when cath noticed that I was awake he immediately jumped from arthurs head straight into my lap and nuzzled into me,

I placed my hand on his head to establish a telepathic link, allowing us to communicate privately,

Y/n: hey cath, whats it been, like 3000 years, I thought you died, and whats with the really small form you've taken, you used to be huge and monstrously terrifying?

Cath: it has been a long time, and I've taken this form so that I can stay with the new vessel for mother until the time comes when she gets placed inside of him,

Y/n: ah... I see, so arthur is mothers next vessel?

Cath: yes, honestly why does HE have to be the one he's so pathetically weak its not even funny,

Y/n: cath you know full well as soon as he becomes the king of chaos his power will sky rocket to incredible levels,

Cath: I know, but until then I have to expend power just to stop him from dying too soon,

Y/n: Well thats the path you chose, anyway I gotta go, there's someone I gotta talk to

I got up and before anyone could say anything I immediately left, heading back to istar,
