'The day we met, frozen I held my breath'
Jessica had invited me to hang out by the cliff again.
Said they would like to see Sam and his friends jump. Since I had noting to do I agreed and made my way to there car after school.
The whole way there, Jess was snuggling into Mike while Eric and Angela were sitting in the drivers seat in conversation while holding hands.
I hate to admit I was jealous. I mean look at them with there significant other.
Arriving there we see the group trying to push someone off the cliff.
"So any of you boys willing to do this?" Angela asks
"Well I don't need a test to prove my bravery so" Mike cowardly backs out.
The girls look to Eric who to backs out.
"I'm going" I say and there heads snap in my direction.
"Really?" Jess asks
"Yeah" I say.
I start taking my shoes off and place them neatly near the car. I walk passed the pack who were by the edge and I stand. Stretching, I look at the guys one more time before looking at the water.
'Don't do it' a vision of Edward appears ..
"You have no right to tell me what I can and can't do" I say before jumping.
Landing in the water deep, being a tribrid, a con is that unlike vampires I need to breathe but I can easily get out of this situation. But something made me stay longer. Suddenly I heard another splash.
Looking to my side I see Jacob. I swim up to the service and few seconds later he does to.
"What the hell are you doing?" Jacob asks
"Cliff diving obviously" I say
"We thought you drowned" he says
"Ooh sorry about that" I say. There's a moment of silence between the two of us before I splash him with water. A smile appears on his face as we continue to splash each other. Soon other pack members join in and we're having a full on water battle.
I'm on Jacobs shoulders while Embry is on Sam's shoulders. Paul is referee.
"Ok 3, 2, 1. go!" he yells and me and Paul start wrestling. I don't use my powers since that would be cheating but I'm naturally strong so it would be fun. I push harder and am so in concentration that I don't notice my eyes start glowing.
Embry gets shocked and I take advantage of that by pushing him down.
"WooooooHooooooooo" I yell as I fall backwards into the water.
Resurfacing I put my hair gently on the side and rub the water off my eyes before opening them. I m greeted by Jacob smiling at me and I smile back before going under water.
Swimming deeper inside I notice a presence beside me and I look to see Jacob, swimming along with me as the two of us swim deeper.
With my vision I clearly see fishes and little creatures swimming in and passed rocks. Deciding that I need a breather I rush back up to the surface and breathe.
I feel something touch my feet, and in a second I am pulled down my someone.
I gasp as I emerge from the water and breath hard as I try to find the culprit, spotting Jacob sending me a teasing smile.
I laugh as I splash him with a huge amount of water before swimming .
The two of us continued to have fun all day and when my skin started to prune, we finally got out of the water. The gang had left due to them complaining that they were board so I invited Jacob to my house for a movie night.
Once we reached land, we stood up and out of the water. Realizing we were soaking wet I spoke a loud.
"seca" I say and a gust of wind blew in our direction, drying us completely. I laughed at Jacob's expression before the both of us made our way to my house.
He had decided to drive, and I was snuggled close to him, due to him being so warm. One thing I didn't inherit, sadly.
Soon we end up parking and the two of just enjoy a moment of silence. Huddling into Jacob, the two of us turned to face each other. I looked to him and he started leaning in. Once he was inches apart I moved back. I was not ready.
I snuggled back into him as a sign saying we're still friends. Suddenly my nostrils pick up a scent. Apparently he does two as I open the car door, and he closes it before I can step out.
"Are you sure you'll be ok?" he asks
"Positively" I say. I side hug him once before exiting the car and making my way to the door. I couldn't identify the owner of the scent yet so I prepared myself for whatever would come.
I slowly unlock the door and open it, entering the dark house before shutting the door behind me. Turning on a light, I sense a presence near me so in lightning speed I grab onto the strange and slammed them into a wall.
Realizing it was Alice, I let her go. A look of shock was obviously covering my face as my breathing slowed down to a normal pace.
"Alice" I say barely above a whisper.
"Do you mind explaining to me how your alive?" she asks
"What the hell are you talking about?" I ask confused.
"I saw a vision of you jumping of a cliff but nothing about you resurfacing from the water. Why would you try and kill yourself?" she asks angry
"First of all I wasn't killing myself, I had gone cliff jumping. Second, of all even if I tried to kill myself you can't blame me for that choice. You don't know how broken I felt when Edward left. The words he said made me want to kill myself there and then from the pain I felt in my heart." I scream and her eyes soften.
"And do you know why all those words hurt so much. Its because those words created a possible event that would destroy the few people I called family. I'm a monster and the only way the Voltari won't hurt your family is if you stay away. So get out" I yell. Tears were streaming down my eyes as Alice looked as she was in tears even though vampires can't cry.
"He said that to you?" she asks softly
"What didn't you know. He said the hole family thought of me as a bad acquaintance" I say
"I didn't know because I thought you two deserved a moment alone. But honestly now that I hear what he said, I'm so sorry. None of those things are true, he said that because he knew you wouldn't let us go without a fight" she says and I sigh.
"All those words brought me back to the reality I live in, where I'm a monster that can get you killed. I suggest you leave and go back to the plan of never coming back before I throw you out myself" I say with a blunt yet tearful expression.
"Does he know?" I ask before she exits the house completely.
"No, he only calls in once a month, said he wants to be alone." she says.
I nodded as she exited the house. Once the door shut I cried.
Harder than I've ever cried before. And that was all thanks to a boy named Edward Cullen.
Suddenly Alice burst through the door, looking panicked.
"Edward thinks your dead and is going to the Voltari" she says.
