Chapter 6

Naruto's POV

Soon I opened my eyes and saw a roof made up of sticks. I looked around and saw Sasuke seating beside me. He was sleeping on the chair. I looked out of the window and saw that it was morning.
Sasuke suddenly woke up and said "Ah! You are awake."
"For how much time I have been sleeping?"
"Two"
"Hours?"
He fell silent.
"Oi? Oi? OI!!!"
"DAYS"
"WHAT?!!! Are you serious?"
He said nothing. I asked "So how long have you been here?"
"I have been here for at least 2 hours."
"Anyways, what's the update?"
"After you were unconscious, I had to carry you here by myself. On the first day, I and Sakura trained tree climbing under Kakashi sensei. Believe me, I was the last to be able to do so. This much only."
"Hmm, so the one who was regarded as a genius was the last person to do so." He blushed out of embarrassment. "Anyways let's go and meet up with the others."

I got up from the bed but fell down out of weakness. "Maybe I will need a crutch until I am back on my feet." I said sighing as Sasuke help me to get up and walked me to the dinning room.

"Naruto! Are you alright?"asked Sakura.
"Yes, Sakura. Just feeling weak. I will need a crutch." Immediately a woman came ahead carrying a crutch. I said "Thank you...umm"
"Tsunami" the woman said.
"Thank you Tsunami san." I said.
She smiled at me.
Suddenly a boy shouted "Why are you here? Gato will kill you just like my dad. Why are you trying to act as heroes when there is nothing such as heroes"
I said "Well, I have just killed a S rank rogue ninja named Zabuza."
"WHAT?! YOU KILLED A S-RANK ROGUE NINJA WORKING FOR GATO. I DON'T BELIEVE IT"
"Well, then believe it." I said "Anyways what's the update on bridge?" I asked looking at Kakashi who gave me an eye smile.
"Well it will take at least 2 week to complete. Till then we will stay here."
"Hmm, interesting."
I sat down on a chair and learned about everything I need.
The boy, who shouted was Inari, grandson of Tanzuna. He lost his father at very young age. I also learnt some useless updates like tree climbing.

1 WEEK LATER

I recovered from my weakness and went to Kakashi asking for him teach me a new jutsu.
"What about rasengan?"
I looked at him curiously as he pulled out his hands from his pocket, formed a small ball of light and struck it to a nearby tree.
I looked in awe as the tree broke into 2 pieces. "Awesome! How did you do that?" He flinched at my tone. It seems that he is still not adjusted to my behavior.
He then took out a water balloon and water started moving in circles inside the balloon until it popped. I couldn't help but sweatdrop at the feat. "Its awesome but I don't see how it is related to rasengan." I cannot even imagine how a balloon Popping into an enemy will kill him.
He eye-smiled and said "That's the first step. You can use your shadow clones if you want."
I created at least 10 clones and they started working until one of them managed to burst the balloon.
Kakashi sensei then gave me rubber ball to burst in the same way. I again did the same thing. Soon, I finally created a perfect ransengan.
"RASENGAN" I shouted as I struck it against the ground which created a medium crater on the ground. I was quite happy to see the extent of the damage. Kakashi sensei praised me for being a fast learner.

1 day later

I was supposed to protect tsunami and inari from any enemy. I was just lying on a couch when I heard Inari screaming. I rushed to the spot and saw Tsunami being dragged by a man.
Before I was about to react Inari tried to defend his mother by using a stick.
I smiled at Inari's courage before facing the man in anger. He just laughed holding Tsunami in one hand while defending himself from Inari's blow. I quickly formed a weak rasengan and thrusted it into the man's stomach. He quickly released Tsunami and clutched his injured stomach.
"TELL ME WHO SENT YOU" I said showing my red eyes to the thug.
"Gato sent me to kidnap Tsunami and he was supposed to treat her as a hostage in return for the destruction of the bridge."
"Where is this Gato pig?"
"On the b... bridge."
My eyes went wide before I killed him by pushing a crystal blade into his throat.
I looked at Inari, who was frozen from fear, and said "I am proud of you Inari.You saved your mother from goons. Anyways I have to go to the bridge. So I am going to leave a Powerful shadow clone."
"O...ok Naruto"
"And here is a kunai for just in case. See ya later."
I quickly formed a shadow by using kurama's chakra and rushed to the spot. I saw a large crowd on the other side of the bridge and my team and Tanzuna on the other side. I quickly rushed and informed the details to sensei.

The next moment, Gato's goons rushed to us. I rolled my eyes and looked at sensei who immediately knew what I was thinking. He said "No." I pouted before glaring at crowd.

"So my plan is to kill the boys and sell the pink haired girl for money." Gato said.

I smirked and looked at Kakashi one more time. This time, he sighed and gave me the signal.

I took out my katana fron my back and slashed into the air before putting it back.
"Ha, ha, ha what are you trying t... What th......." Gato said as he was cut into pieces.
Immediately the mad goons were about to rush to us for killing there lunch money but stopped to their tracks as the villagers of the wave, who just arrived, rushed to the goons. They all fled out of fear knowing that they were outnumbered. I couldn't help but laugh.
Soon the bridge was complete and we started leaving the wave. I looked at Inari, who was crying, and said "Don't worry, I promise to return one day."
He immediately beamed and held out his fist for bro fist saying "Promise?"
"Yes, I promise" I said before doing a bro fist.
No one's POV
"So what we are going to name the bridge?"

"The Great Naruto Bridge"Inari said as he saw the team 7 leaving the waves.

"What about rasengan?"
"But this jutsu was taught by Ero sanin in canon."
"This is a fanfiction, you baka"
"Oh but but....."
"But what?"
"Do you even know which show is this?"
"I don't care, Naruto."
