Chapter 23

Proposal

I open the door to my house and walk to me and Levi's shared bedroom. It's been 3 years and I'm now 19 years old. Me and Levi have been living together for the past year. We've been amazing, however, he has been pretty secretive for the past 2 weeks. I wonder why.

I shake my head and head up to our shared room. There, I see a box on the bed and note.

Hello mi amore (my love). I know you're probably wondering why I've been so secretive the past few weeks, but I promise you, it's for a good reason. Now, I want you to take a bath and relax for a little tesoro (sweetheart). When you're done, get dressed in the clothes in this box and go to the place that reminds you of where we first met.

I smile and start running a bubble bath after reading the note. I put my hair up and get in the bath. After a good 30 minutes, I get out, dry off and put the clothes. The dress is absolutely beautiful and the shoes look comfortable. I take my hair out from the bun and fix my curls before looking in the mirror.

(Tbh I don't really like the shoes so if you can find something better then please send me a picture)

I get dressed and fix my hair before grabbing a black purse and putting my phone, keys, and the note inside. I walk out the house and see a black car. The man inside the car rolls the window down to speak to me.

"Good evening miss Artemis. I am to take you to each location per sir Levi's orders." he says. I say a quick thank you before getting in the back seat and reading the note over. We first met at a small cafe (if I said where they met before, I'm sorry I don't remember so just roll with it). It was so cute and warm and cozy. The only place here that reminds me of that cafe is the Twilight cafe. I tell the driver to go to the cafe.

We arrive at the cafe and I walk in. The girl at the cash register points to a booth. I walk over to it and see another not on the table.

You found another one bella (beautiful), but you still have more to go. Next, go to the place where we have so much fun in the summer. We had one of our most memorable dates there.

I take the note, put it in my bag, and get back in the car. I tell the driver to go to the lake. When we get there, I get out and walk towards the lake. I look towards a bench and see another note.

You found it baby. Good. This next one is a little tricky. Go to the place where we have a lot of fun. The place where our favorite game is but you always win. You never miss here.

That one is a little tricky. We always have fun at the arcade but none of the games are our favorite. I think for a few minutes more before I finally understand what he means. I walk back to the car and tell the driver to go to our private beach.

We arrive at the beach in a matter of minutes before I get out and walk towards the beach. The game we play is called targets and we usually play at the beach. Basically, each person grabs a bow and a quiver of arrows and whoever can hit the center of the target with the most arrows wins. Not only does it test you archer skills but it's really fun and like Levi said, I never miss. I find the next note wrapped around an arrow that's in the center of the target. I unwrap it and read it.

You're doing good love. Next, go to the place where we feel at peace. The place that is the most beautiful in the city. The place where we can let go of everything and be us. That is where you'll find me.

I don't even have to think of where to go. I quickly walk back to the car and get. I tell the driver where to go and when we arrive, I get out the car and start walking to my next location. I start walking until I reach where I want to be. Me and Levi found this place about 2 years ago. Ever since it's been our special place. Nobody knows about it since it's unknown land. As soon as we saw it, we bought the land. I push past the vines and admire the scene in front of me.

I start walking for a little bit before I see Levi just up ahead. I walk slightly faster and when I get to him, he pulls me in for a hug. He pulls away and gives my forehead a kiss before speaking.

"Remember the first time we met in that cafe? Our drinks had gotten mixed up because we ordered almost the same thing?" he says and I nod. "Ever since that day, I felt a connection to you. The only reason why I didn't say anything was because I was scared of rejection and ruining our friendship. When we started dating, I was so happy that I finally got the girl I've wanted for so long, that was finally able to call you mine. These past few years with you have made me the happiest man on Earth. I want to continue our journey, I never want it to end. I want to be the one to wake up next to you, to make you happy, laugh, to cheer you up when you're sad, to protect you, and most importantly, to love you for the rest of our lives. Artemis Dakota Jordan Regio-Ivanov, will let me spend the rest of my lift with you and fulfill my promise to you? Will you marry me?"

I stand there with my hands covering my mouth and tears in my eyes as Levi gets down on one knee and takes out a black box. He opens the box and I see a gorgeous ring. I don't even have to think before I say,

"Yes." at first it's a small whisper, but then, I start saying it louder. "Yes.. yes yes yes yes yes!"

He stands up and hugs, twirling me around before setting me down in the ground and kissing me. The kiss is passionate yet fierce, love being the only thing filling it. We pull away and puts the ring on my finger. The ring is simple yet elegant. It's a diamond cut with actual diamonds on each side of it.

I admire the ring before looking up at my fiancé. He wipes away my tears and gives me a kiss before we continue walking.

I can't wait for the future holds.
