In a twelfth floor flat somewhere in the UK
Sits a young mother and father
With three young children.
He is furloughed from his low payed job
As a Barman.
She is a housewife.
The lift doesn't work
So that takes care of the exercise.
No internet
So that takes care of home schooling.
We're all in this together.
Across the nation
Royalty is secluded in their palaces
Cleaning and home schooling
Is carried out by subjects.
Platitudes are spewed out by
Cameras
They are under lockdown,
So the idea of visiting key workers
Who risk their lives daily.
We are all in this together.
In parliament
Steve Baker warns Bumbling Boris
He will force a leadership challenge
If the lockdown is not removed.
The vulnerable are less important
Than the pub.
This inveterate fool
Thinks he's cool.
As if transmission is not person to person.
We're all in this together.
Over two million have died worldwide, what will it take??
