In 2020 the world was visited by a deadly virus titled Covid-19.

It has killed countless hundreds of thousands across the planet.

Families left bereft and alone.

Sufferers died alone.

Many brave sectors of humanity

Stood up and helped their brothers and sisters.

Doctors, nurses, cleaners, care givers, truck drivers, public transport workers,

Among countless others.

Frightened and tired they fought on to help their fellow men and women.

In news rooms across the U.K journalists and their spineless leaders

Fed like fat Vultures

On the carrion of the doomed.

In the twenty four hour news rooms it has been perpetual Christmas.

News presenters , dressed in the gowns of

Harbingers of doom. have satiated on the food of

Their new found fame.

Politicians of all persuasions

Have fallen prey to their need

Of short lived fame, and, hopefully, fortune.

Making predictions that are destroyed by

The next puffed up presenter on shift.

Kay Burley, (Her of the holier than thou attitude)

Darling of Sky News Destroyers,

Mocked Minister after Minister

For not being aware of the lockdown rules

They had created, (HaHa what fools, she crooned.)

Lo, and behold, she was soon hoist on her own

Petard of dung.

Caught on camera with a few chosen acolytes,

Breaking those same rules for which she

Mocked others.

Such poetic justice you may think. (Oh to be a Poet)

But no!

Sky News rewarded such a gifted employee

With six months paid leave!

One rule for some...............

The public have, generally, supported each other,

Frontline services have helped us all.

Scientists have worked tirelessly.

The media have helped themselves.

Nothing new there!

The old adage; 'Never let the truth get in the way of a good story seems apt.
