Mckenna was kidnapped. It was because of me. Me.

"Guys, I could have done something to stop her from ticking Pitch off. Or I could have stopped Pitch from taking her. It's all my fault." I said sadly, drooping my head into my pale hands as I sat on a ledge.

"No, no, it was not your fault, Jack! It was nobodies fault." Tooth said, flying over and sitting beside me. She couldn't fool me, I knew it was.

"But I could've done something--"

"No, Jack. Come on, don't be so down. At least we can save her!"

"Yeah, I guess."

"Well, let's go save her then!"

We both got up, Tooth going much faster than me. I felt so guilty.

"Come on Jack, at least you tried to stop it. We'll find her. Ok?" North comforted, putting a hand on my shoulder.

I nodded, my head still hung down.

"Let's get in the sleigh. Come along." he said, heading towards the sleigh. I turned back for a second seeing Sandy coming up. He stopped and showed me some black sand he had found on the ground, making a "?" above his head. I shrugged.

We all headed towards the sleigh, except for Kangaroo.

"Ah, no. No more rides in that thing, mate. Can't we use my tunnels instead?"

"No. Get in." North demanded, Bunny sadly trudged in.

----------

We were almost there, I know because I asked someone every five seconds.

I don't know why I was so worried about her. I don't think I'd get worried as much with one of the others. I'll ask someone about it later...

We arrived, smooth landing with North driving.

There was a rickety old bedframe over a narrow, deep hole. This was where Pitch lived? Lowlife.

I looked down the hole, an almost broken wooden board standing not-so-firmly above it. The others came up behind as I smashed that piece, backing up a little bit afterwards.

"So, who's going first?" I ask, looking at Bunny. I hate to admit it, but he was probably the bravest.

"Nah mate, you first." he replied, pushing me in.

"KANGAROOOOO!" I yell as I fall down, landing squarely on my back.

"Uuuuugh..." I groan as I get up, taking in the spectacular beauty of the area. *note sarcasm*

It was basically a dark, dirt, desert-cave, very damp too. Wasn't the best place to live in my opinion.

I freeze a small puddle, walking around a bit until I find a narrow tunnel that looks like it widens with distance. It had a single torch at the entrance, snuffed out.

"Everything alright down there, Jack?" North asked from the top of the hole.

"Yea, by the way, tell Kangaroo up there thank you for shoving me down here."

"You're welcome, mate. After all, she is your girlfriend."

As he said girlfriend, I blushed profusely. That has never happened, due to my temperature.

"S-she's not m-my g-girlfriend." I say, fidgeting. My face was very red from what I could see in a puddle.

"Sure she isn't, mate. We know ya like her Jack."
