everything wrong with reader inserts

"ITS A FUCKING READER INSERT YOU DIPSHITS"

do you ever just went in to a book with in the title/tag that clearly states it's a "x reader" or "reader inserts" with high hopes that you get to be paired with your favorite character- only to find out that the author already chosen your name, your looks, and basically everything???

aren't you just tired about reading a story with the tag "x reader" but instead of you, your characteristics and description (aka [hair color], [eye color], [skin color], etc.) it goes like:

"My name is Austin Mills, I'm the main character. I have icy blue eyes that just holds so much pain that no one else could, and shiny and lustrous jet black hair-" instead of the SUPPOSED to be reader insert?

well fret not my fellow readers, for i, an asshole who's already fucking done with those types of stories that says their "x reader" but are actually "x oc" is here, to say what all of you are afraid to say because your mind tells you that it might be bad to tell the truth to the writer!

basically, im going to fucking tell those kinds of writers to either change their book title, description and tags that held the "x reader" to a "x oc" or just to educate what "x reader" or "reader inserts" actually are
