Words feel harsh compared to thoughts, too permanent and too concrete. Thoughts are free. Safe inside our head. No story nor character can ever be restricted in our minds. But on paper, given form, they are immovable. They cannot be changed in an instant of reflection or indecision, but rather live in the ink unmoving. It is because of this I will always commend the bravery of authors, who continues surrender their stories to text.
