Heya, I'm Makayla!

I've been writing since I was nine years old, but at the age of eleven, was when I really got into it. At eleven years old, I was diagnosed with Hodgkins Lymphoma cancer and my entire life turned upside down. For three years, I went through chemo therapy, radiation, hospital stays, surgeries and much more. The cancer is re-occurring and can come back at any time.

I have been in Remission for five years now.

Writing is my escape into a different life.

I'm the God who can control the pawns, or characters, I decide what happens.

Writing and reading causes me happiness, and I want to share that with all of you.

Lastly...

I didn't tell you that I had cancer because I want pity, or sympathy, I told you this as to the reason I write.

It's my only escape.
