I never know what to write on these things. So, I thought I'd list some of my fave authors and why I love them so much.
Karen Marie Moning. Her words have got me through many dark moments in my life. Her highlander series renewed my love of Scotland and probably romanticised the country far more than is healthy. Her fever series ruined me for dark, broody, alpha males everywhere. And it makes me far too happy that I know Jericho Barrons would eat me alive for putting him in that category.
Nalini Singh. I love the psy changeling books so much. Those books make me have faith in humanity, so filled with love, joy, and hope. They're my comfort reads, especially when my own world is turning to shit. Nate and Tamsyn are always at the top of my comfort read list, followed closely by Sascha and Lucas. And I have so many favourites of the series, in fact, there isn't a book I don't like. But Mercy and Riley are just beautiful. And Kaleb....Kaleb speaks to the part of me that fell in love with Jericho Barrons when I was twenty-three. Kaleb (and Jericho) are the reason I can only read few other romance books with strong, powerful alpha males. They ruined me, and now more times than not I end up fighting not to burn the book, or throw my kindle across the room. Rhysand - totally looking at you here, buddy.
And Patricia Briggs. Mercy Thompson was my first dive into urban fantasy, and I almost regret starting with her. Those books are so good, and Mercy will forever be on my list of heroines I wish I could live up to. I love her loyalty, her bravery, and her chaos. And Adam...I may have started out loving vampires, but I'm a werewolf girl through and through and Adam Hauptman probably explains at least some of that. Adam and Mercy are relationship goals, and I will 100% fight anyone who says otherwise.
That is probably the best description of me I can write. My favourite authors, characters, love interests, and a snippet of why I love them so much.
