Everything I write is about strong and empowered women. 

In the Vampire world, most Vampires ARE women, and they are literally stronger, faster, more powerful in every way than not only human males, but the few Vampire males that exist.

The Vampire books started out as pure Science Fiction. How could Vampires be real, not supernatural? How might they be created, and how could they evolve.

They had to be strong, and fast, and able to seduce humans without any trouble. One person I was talking to about this idea told me that 'Vampires are pure sex' and that seemed to be so when I read other Vampire books and looked at the old movies. Vampires are about seduction and I had to figure out how that might work in an evolved species. It turned out there are animals that do that already.

A funny thing about my Vampire has happened over the years: the things they can do, from healing to strength to enhanced senses all look to be ever MORE possible, not less. They just found a shark they think is over five hundred years old for example. I like that: Nature has its own magic.

I thought about Heinlein's 'Time Enough for Love' and I realized that one of the greatest writers of the last century had done SF Romance. I am not him of course, but these are my voyages. They are filled with humor and geekery and love.

I am also reliably told that Chapter 15 of 'Naked Came the Vampire' is pretty sexy.

There exist two Morgan Olsen stand-alone novels that predate the Vampire books, and take place just after the turn of the 21st century. They are not posted here.
