From an early age, I loved to make stuff up. Just ask my mother. She could tell you all kinds of stories of stories that I told her.  My favorite subject in school was English, because I got to write. But I didn’t think to pursue a career in writing when I graduated because I had no idea that a person could make money doing so or even how to go about it.

But now I get paid to do just that after changing my career three times to finally accept I wanted to be a writer. I’m an author of more than 14 books under the name Vivi Anna, including the award winning Valorian Chronicles from Harlequin. I’m an avid reader, talker, walker, and movie watcher, and I’m always on the lookout for the next big thing. A lover of teen horror films, I also write screenplays and TV scripts and hope to one day be the next Kevin Williamson (he created and writes for the show Vampire Diaries).

Speaking of movies, some of my favorites are Lord of the Rings, X-Men,
The Dark Knight, and Chronicle. Some of my favorite TV shows right now are Game of Thrones, Homeland, Dexter, Supernatural, Copper, Nurse Jackie, Arrested Development and Community.

And of course I read when I’m not homeschooling my teen daughter or ferrying her around to her plethora of dance classes. I read mostly YA, urban fantasy, horror, and some thrillers. You can find me often procrastinating on twitter. If you find me there, I will help you procrastinate as well. Did I mention that procrastinating is also one of my hobbies? Find me at @Vivi_Tawny
