TL;DR: I'm a kid from the slums, that was seduced by fantasy and horror.

I was reared in Aberdeen, MS. My family was fairly poor, and that's putting it mildly. I lived with my single mother and spent much of my time alone. She worked two jobs to provide for us. I filled these solitary hours with books. Stories of castles in the sky, demonic aberrations that twisted the hearts of men, worlds of dreams and unspeakable horrors. Poe, King, Lovecraft...these men became father figures to me, at least the men in their stories did. My glimpse into these other worlds, helped me to escape the world in which I was born, both figuratively and literally. I have a passion for stories. I decided to continue that passion.
