I'm a published author and social worker and I've just completed my latest draft novel, 'Christopher Reuben and the Curious World beneath His Garden'. While writing this story, I drew directly from my years of experience as a social worker working with many great people, sadly who were chronically ill and dying, at two major public hospitals in Melbourne, Australia.
The story is about a 14-year-old boy who suffers from a mysterious illness called Radar. Not long after his mother dies from the same illness, he escapes into a bizarre world beneath his garden.
I'm very grateful for all the fantastic feedback from everyone when I have shared scenes along the way!
Highest ranking while workshopping: eight in Wattpad's top 1,000 Fantasy.
