I'm Shamendra De Silva, an emerging author who writes from the parts of life I usually keep hidden.

Many of the themes in my stories come from things I have personally gone through. I do not often share my problems with people, so I turned them into stories instead. Writing became my way of giving shape to emotions I could not always explain.

My first novel, Purple, is a fantasy story, but its heart is real. It is about love, pain, sacrifice, inner conflict, and the desperate need to protect someone you care about.

This is only the beginning of my author journey, and these are the kinds of stories I plan to keep publishing - emotional, personal, and honest, even when they are told through fantasy worlds.
