I started my working life as a tadpole brain surgeon. From there, I moved through journalism (the last profession of the gentleman) to strategic planning and futurology. I have always written, one way or another. Poetry as an adolescent (don't we all?) and non fiction in the course of my career (five books published). Now I'm serving my apprenticeship in fiction. 

Prize of Sovereigns is my third novel, and the first I feel is commercially viable for a new author. Told from multiple viewpoints of princes and peasants, statesmen and storytellers, this is a tale of intrigue, war, and revolt. 

War is coming. Byrom, is a bad man; but hopes to be a good king. He has a lust for killing, but a talent for strategy. Aurthur is a good man, but a weak king. He dreams of peace and progress, inactive while his kingdom crumbles. The fate of both realms depends on the choices their princes make. As the rulers try to bend events to their will, many lives are changed: Reuven, the archer, enabled by Byrom’s reforms to make a life for himself and for his sweetheart Jyoti.; Brondah, Byrom’s ravaged child bride, who plots her revenge; Guillem, rogue, itinerant storyteller, and medieval spin-doctor; and Marta, a religious girl, who hears voices summoning her to a great destiny. Though set in fictional realms, the reader of history will recognize many of the characters and events of the Hundred Years War between Medieval England and France
