LJ Sidney can't imagine a world where she isn't writing something. Her first novel was finished in the 1980s, when she was eleven, and was handwritten in a spiral-bound notebook. Every sentence started with "suddenly," and there was a love story involving a girl and an alien... which remains a trend in her writing, actually. Since then, she's more-or-less learned where periods go, but commas remain a stumbling point.

Sanctuary Road is a passion project started before Covid. LJ has worked on it fairly continuously since - during backpacking trips, on airplanes, in hotel rooms, and pretty much every morning over breakfast, while consuming at least three cups of strong coffee.
