I decided to become a writer in the third grade. It was all said and done, and what followed was a life filled with writing, but not the kind that tugged at my heart. A copywriter by trade, I knew how to string marketing words together and sell things, but I held back the stories within. It took a health scare in 2008 to push me out of the comfort zone and to write.  As the late Wayne Dyer said, "Don't die with your music still in you."
