Hey again. If you read my previous message, you know that life is pretty challenging. My husband is now in a rehabilitation facility with the hope that he will be able to eventually come home. However, his care will be demanding as he is now a functional quadriplegic. But my daughter and her boyfriend are moving in to help, my son lives at home, and my other daughter is also prepared to help.

I know I won't have a lot of free time, but my doctor told me recently to carve out at least 4 times a week when I can do something for myself and I WANT TO WRITE. Honestly, I'm craving it, desiring it like never before!

I think I'd like to start a lighthearted story, something that doesn't require a lot of extra research. That way, I can hopefully spend my time just writing to my heart's content. Send me prayers and positive energy so that maybe I can get this little project off the ground.

Thank you for all your thoughts & prayers after my last post <3

@JenYarrington Oh Jen, I have been thinking about you lately. I am so happy that you are getting some help and taking some time for yourself. Self care is so important and if writing is what helps you, write away! Sending you all the good juju that I can, take care!

Hey Jen. I read some of your messages on the conversation board. I hope you and your family are doing better now. I'll be sending prayers your way (I'm not a Christian but I hope they work for you). You're such an amazing author and your works truly inspire me. I had added your book "doctor's orders" in my library around 2 years ago but gave it a chance this year and i truly regret that i didn't come across your page sooner. Your next book "special needs" has a special place in my heart. Definitely a genre of fanfiction that has a special place in my heart. Although your stories are fictional, they do have a touch of reality and that's what makes your work special. I hardly know 3 authors who stick to their words of relating their stories with real life situations. Lastly I feel extremely bad that I can't donate something because I'm not a working student (i live in Asia so working as a student is not encouraged much) but i really am glad that you haven't lost the will to write and explore more of your passion while battling with life. Sending all the love xoxo

Hi Jen, it just happened I was online when your post came. You have a lot of challenge in prospect. I do hope you can find time to write. It takes us into another world and Lord knows there are times when any of us benefit from that. Hang in!

Hello everyone,

I'm sorry I haven't been around much. Life is too busy and heartbreaking lately. My husband has had 3 strokes in the past year, which now brings the total to 6 strokes since 2011. I am constantly facing the likelihood of his death and trying to keep hope that he will live for a few more months and hopefully years. I'm not sure if this is allowed, but if at all possible, would you please check out my GoFundMe? I started it after his stroke in March, but he is now in ICU after a hemorrhagic stroke on July 9. The next stroke, or even complications from this stroke, could kill him. We need some financial help. I realize that many of you are young and possibly college or high school students, so please don't feel bad if you can't donate. You would help me tremendously if you could share the fundraiser with friends, family, and faith groups.

I survived the unthinkable after my daughter's death 2.5 years ago and now I'm facing the unthinkable again. God is sustaining me and my family, and he is giving me a lot of hope and courage. He is also giving me valuable insight to life, suffering, healing, and tragedy. I hope to some day weave this into my writing because I believe that everyone should understand that there can still be beauty and hope in the midst of sorrow.

Anyone need a ticket to the Detroit Harry Styles show? I’m selling mine - Section 108, Row 10 at Little Caesars Arena, Sep 20, 8 PM. You have to go through StubHub. Just search in Section 108

@chanmapan @CapricornCutie76 It's in Detroit, an hour and a half away. I don't really want to drive home at midnight and I can't really afford a hotel. I was planning to go alone and it sounded like a fine idea 2 years ago or whenever I bought the ticket. But now that it's fall, I'm starting to get flashbacks of my daughter's death and the 1-year anniversary is coming up. I guess I'm just not in the mood to go on an adventure by myself. Someone bought it yesterday for $400, so I'm going to put that towards a flight to LA sometime next year, to visit my friend Patti :) I need friend time more than Harry time, lol

You aren’t going to go see Harry? That doesn’t sound like you. I know you are a huge fan! Hope everything is okay!

Hello all, I'm doing much better so thank you to everyone who has prayed for my family and me over the past 6 months. My plan is to definitely return to my writing here on Wattpad, but I've also started a blog called, "Lean In", which is about dealing with suffering and finding God in the midst of it. I shared a post yesterday about my daughter's death, and I will continue to share about that and finding God in the midst of suffering. If anyone is interested, please check out: https://leaningintojoy.blogspot.com/

          xoxo Jen

Hello, so sorry to hear about your loss. I haven’t been on much in the past several months. My dad unexpectedly passed away in June (not CoVid related). It’s been devastating. Even with grief therapy, there are moments when sadness feels overwhelming. I wish you peace and comfort in the months to come. Take care.
