Her heart pounded like drums in her chest and her ears being filled by defeaning silence.

Maybe if she tried a little bit harder, changed herself a little bit more, she'd be the girl in your arms right now.

The silence was soon broken by your heartfelt laughter, your childish giggles, and hushed whispers.

And she kept asking herself what went wrong? She tried her best to be the perfect girl for you.

She changed her whole life for you, and yet you didn't give her a second glance.

And her, the girl you were with, she wasn't the one of those girls you described, she was irrational, loud, and kind, and pretty. Everything she wasn't.

Her jealousy was like fire, burning her alive as she watched you.

But what could she do?

The air in her lungs would not cease to exist if she isn't with you.

The beating of her heart will not rest if you leave.

The smile on her lips may be temporarily absent.

But her pride and dignity will stay.

And she will walk away.

Like the ceasing storm on the cold night, she will disappear by morning.

And the cold harsh winter, she will be gone with the entrance of spring.

Like a whisper to the wind, she was gone.

Like the fire in her heart, extinguished.

She promised herself, she will move on.
