David J. Thirteen

It's fair to say, I wouldn't be writing today if I hadn't joined Wattpad back in 2013. I'd been writing as a hobby, merely to amuse myself, but was getting restless and wanted more. It was time to push new boundaries and share my work with an audience. By luck or fate, I came across Wattpad. Here I found a  warm, supportive, and nurturing community of peers who built up both my skills and my confidence.

It's been quite the journey. My first full length serialized novel, MR. 8, reached the top of both the Horror and the Mystery charts and received a publishing deal. I was invited to join the Wattpad Stars program, and through it, I was contracted to write the PARANORMAL ACTIVITY movie tie-in, THE GARRISON PROJECT (which was later published as a novella), and was given the opportunity to teach a course on storytelling. But my biggest achievement has been the friends I've made along the way.
 
If you choose to read my work, prepare yourself for some strangeness. I write fiction that falls into a nebulous zone between horror, science-fiction, paranormal, and fantasy. I enjoy being surprised by the things I read, so I try to take my own stories in surprising directions.
