Behind the scenes stuff: 

I originally wrote the first draft of "The New Witch in Town" (which I called at the time "The Curse of the Djinn") during NaNoWriMo in 2017. 
I liked the overall story, but there were plot issues that I got bogged down on trying (and failing) to fix in a second draft.

I eventually decided to rewrite it with a different protagonist and make it more of a Perry Mason meets True Blood style mystery - Hence, "The Children of the Night Court."

Of course, I ended up with the same issue (getting stuck on the second draft).
So, I decided to clean up my first draft for both stories and post them here to see if there is more interest in one book over the other. Whichever one wins, I'll focus on polishing/fixing.

Both books have the same antagonist  (Shayatan, Queen of the Djinn)--although she is more directly involved in New Witch than in Children of the NC--but different protagonists. In other words, the two books are not connected. They are more like parallel universes with slightly different histories (also, "The Magus of the Moutan" is a prequel to both and takes place during the rule of Shayatan before the Great Spell enslaved the Djinn).

Since I have completed drafts of both, I think I should be able to clean up and post a couple of chapters of both books per week (except for the first week Of August when I'll be out of town).  I plan to start posting on Wednesday and/or Fridays.

Please vote if you like (it helps the algorithm). And leave comments. At this point, I'm less interested in micro grammar issues and more interested in macro story problems (i.e., you don't get what's going on, why people are doing things, etc.)
