I'm a coder by trade, a linguist by training, and a writer by calling. I've written instructional books on programming, taught English at home and abroad, and managed a college writing center.
What I love to read and aspire to write is slipstream, the genre of the weird and mind-bending. I'm drawn toward abnormal psychology and alternative modes of communication, probably because I grew up with a severely autistic younger brother.
My literary hero is Philip K. Dick. For better or worse, I feel a strong kinship with him. I'd love for my books to become movies, even if Hollywood screws up the stories. True fans always read the book anyway.

"Just because something bears the aspect of the inevitable one should not, therefore, go along willingly with it." ―Philip K. Dick
