When you look down at your newborn child for the first time, you are supposed to feel this elated energy emitting from the young child. They're supposed to make you feel happy, aren't they? You are supposed to feel like everything else in the universe doesn't matter because in your arms is the one thing more precious than your life itself, and that you would do anything for he or she. They say the bond between a mother and her child is unbreakable, is it not? Then, if so why did she so urgently want to clasp on to these feelings which seemed so far, far away. She felt compelled to love this little ray of life that her and her lover had created through an act of exactly that, love. Except, she didn't.
