While back here his friends are in a race to find him - dodging Elon-esque tech moguls who believe the coming salvation is their sole divine right. A darkly funny sci-fi satire about alien bureaucracy, the mess we've made of society, and whether it's ever too late to fix ourselves.

No Man Left Behind by BMFox_

An intelligent entity by the name of Unilife captures the attention of an ancient alien race, who must decide whether or not to make first contact with the human race in order to stop this fast-learning, genocidal entity . . . And after encountering the entity themselves, Humanity must decide between fighting Unilife to the bitter end, or fleeing the Milky Way Galaxy altogether. This short story is a precursor to other writings to come. Essentially, I'm using my experience from writing this as a springboard for future planned projects. Sidenote: this project was originally drafted in Google Docs. For some reason, when copying over to Wattpad, Wattpad converts all the em dashes to regular hyphens. Be on the lookout for that, as it completely slaughters the meaning of certain sentences and phrases which use em dashes. The setting primarily takes part on an alternate version of our earth while having a mix of medieval culture and modern technology in the continent they all live on (aka Europe.) Fair warning some locations are very stereotyped but it's for satire purposes and not to make fun of other countries or cultures.
