Raindrops quenched our skin like a mother's kisses but also holding out hope for more. In my opinion, emotions are not absolutes or final states but rather ranges. As a result, I see a blended range from depressing to neutral to upbeat. I like to live on the brighter side of neutral and allow moments of "happier" emotion to appear as bursts of colour. This manner of being suits me well. It makes me relatively resistant to depression and offers me an emotional toughness that others can draw stability from. I believe that those who view "sad" and "happy" as opposites are condemned to alternate between the two states forever. But for him? He chose to always see the bad side.
